This mainly involves submachineguns, and one pistol :cool: my goal here is to inform on ways to 1. make the game slightly more balanced 2.Slightly more diverse(between the armies weapons) 3.More fun and less frustration, i think people need to feel that one persons skill alone is what killed the enemy, not how big his gun was(aside from pickup guns such as sniperrifles etc) Heres my beef with Submachine Guns: these statistics are ment to be balanced, and diverse, heres how you could make the Submachine guns more interesting, and more historically accurate (closser then what they are now) Sten and MP40 could be made basically how they are now, but both with slightly higher recovery, either (mathmatically) 25% higher recovery, or 20% less innacuracy, but with same rate of fire Thompson, should have 25% higher rate of fire, but with ajusted Recovery on MP40 and Sten, its recovery or accuracy should stay the same, In real life this would be about right, as the Thompson was slightly more fearsome at close range as were the MP40 and Sten were easier to handle at slightly longer ranges Now the PPSH, from what ive tested of this gun, it fires twice as fast as any other submachine gun, baseing that as of right now the MP40/Thompson/Sten have a simulated rate of fire of 600 RPM, the PPSH should really only be 150% faster(as in Real Life it fired 900 Rounds per minute MAXIMUM), or 3/4ths the rate of fire as what it has now, if you do any of these modifications at all please do this one, i dont know if you guys were around in the early stages of BF Vietnam(were the M60 had a Rate of Fire similar to the PPSH as standing and everybody got sick of it) if the PPSH was only a Pickup weapon id be ok, but as of now it honestly probably is more effective in most situatios then the MP44/STG44, dont make it less accurate as in Real life it was very accurate, but rather either make its Recovery only 1/2 as fast as it is(as to promote burst fire in any long range fire fight), or lower it Rate of Fire to 3/4ths what it is now sa would be historically accurate and more less frustrating No2 Revolver!! I would really really like to see it made powerful enouph to score one shot kills to the head, please, i dont think there is a gun that cant kill with one shot to the head, unless youve read articles about .38s not being able to go through german helmuts of WWII era, it really is alot of fun being able to score headshots with pistols, especially if you are only stuck with a Piat and a Knife as your other weapons, as to give the British and French just a small, but not at all overpowered chance at beating the enemy, as the German Walter and American Colt can both seemingly score headshots as of now(which is a awesome super cool amazingly fun thing, dont take it out!!) if there was something in this thread that didnt make sence, please post it and ill see were there fine line rides

I would just like to say that the sidearm damage is to low.It takes about six shots at about 30 meters to the torso, whitch is totaly unrealistic.It takes three shots MAXIMUM to take a guy out with a gun.

Yup... The sidearms are almost like vanilla... Sure, i can believe a sidearms not killing at long range, but in close it should be a one shot kill to the head. The PPsh is a bit overpowered IMO...

I espacially like the suggestion about the no2, since the Piat is by far the worst AT weapon around I would love to see the No2 damage inreased, not back to 0.5 (man the no2 owned in 0.5) but at least slightly better thant walter and colt.

ive noticed you usually wont die when your hit by a rifle, i liked .5 when all rifles (besides m1 carbine) were a 1 hit kill.

Side arms in general are powerful, today with e TT33, colt, and walter i had a few really good rounds as anti tank, as long as you remember to get close to the enemy they die, and all weapons except the No2 seem to do one shot kills to the head, i have not yet once had a problem scoring perfectly good headshots with the pistols, actually at Battle of the bulge last night i waltered somebodys head and got a instant kill from about the church tower to the City spawn, not that far, but far enouph, its just the Walter is sooooooo weak for almost no reason at all, and pistols are my favorite weapon, most of them are powerful, accurate, and accessable with cool weapons

PPSH makes my day dark and gloomy, even when im using it i get annoyed by it, it sereisly makes the game feel poiltless to play when you know you bearly need any skill to kill with a gun like that, besides the PPSH i really like the balancing in FH

as well i noticed you have to shoot people in the chest, how did the FH team make that soo?? in original battlefield there was only three hit boxes, head, torso, legs, is it that shooting in the legs doesnt do anything anymore?? i think it is last night on a FF on server i shot some guy in the leg like 30 times and he had no damadge(my friend Woody mind you, im not a smacktard, i was joking to him), anyways thats really cool
