I feel that I have waited long enough to ressurect my old ambitions of world domination. In the past, I have done a LOT of research on the Juno Beach area. I have come across modern day aerial photographs of Nan White sector and Mike Red sector, as well as several eyeswitness reports, etc of the Juno area. I for one would love to see a Juno Beach map make it into the *final* release of FH2. I have included aerial pictures based on the two areas with the most casualties on Juno beach. Nan White http://www.crazyovenmitts.rbsstech.com/Juno.jpg Mike Red http://www.crazyovenmitts.rbsstech.com/JunoZwei.jpg IMO, the Juno Beach done in XWWII was not very good, so if one is done in this mod, I would rather see it done right. =p IF you need any more info on that stretch of beach, I have a lot of resources at my disposal, as I'm a Juno Beach hobby historian of sorts. So, what do you say? Juno anyone?

Are you Canadian?

I'd say just get into modeling and mapping which is the easiest and photoshoping or gimp/whatever the photprgram is called that's free. Make your own map and donate. There's currently a plethora of WW2 mods out there: FH2, BGF, XWW2 (quality in descending order based on my opinion) also there's DLO mod but that's late war and there maybe a few others. That's the best way to almost make sure that your map makes it into a mod/has the highest probability of success instead of tugging on the devs shirts whining for a map and poking them around every corner like a child wanting a toy or a trip to Disneyland.

Yeah, I'm Canadian, eh> My apologies! (not sarcastic) By omitting a single idea, the intelligence of the entire post was utterly destroyed. I was planning on making the map myself, but I was checking if when I were finished someone would add bot support for it. If the map were not to have bot support, I would never really play it so the point of making it would be negated. I had already tried quite unsuccessfully at adding bot support to a Juno map I made for FH 0.7(which I never uploaded) , so I know that it is not my strong point by any means, and would need someone else to do it for me. Finally, I posted to see if there would actually be any desire for such a map on the forums. Now that I realise it, perhaps I should have put this in the General Discussion, or Mapping forum.. Oops...

Personally, I have a desire, as do most Canadians I believe, to see more Canadian maps period, especially since the soldiers fighting on the western-European front suffered a 10% higher mortality/wound rate per same number of American or British soldiers. Yet we see rehash upon rehash of American and British operations, missions and maps:uhm:.

Considering that there is no BF2editor/FH2 mapping sub-forum, I think that this would be the second best place to put it since the next front is somewhat in the air, with completed statics and weapons aside. Personally, I'm working on my own map(s){Boulogne-sur-mer(which could also be an early British/French/Belgian map as well as late-war Canadian map)} but am stuck in a rut/somewhat long learning curve to learn to model, UVWmap, skin and whatever else lies in store with the more than awkward and illogical BF2 editor. But I/we have a few years, from what I've heard/ascertained, to learn all of it.

Just a little side note. After watching recent BattleGroupFrontlines vids I was very impressed with what they have produced so far, their tank combat looks awesome, they have something not seen before by me, cockpit views.

They have nice looking models and could be worth watching their progress, might give FH2 a run for its money!

Very true, but it was IMO and I was being biased and judging their art:player models/ other models, skin qualities+complexity and maybe the theater which is covered even though it's early east. From FH2 downwards there seems to be lower quality models and skins. For example, look at their German Landser and compare it to the FH2 German DAK soldier and you'll see that the face on the FH2 model is just plain more realistic. There's something... odd about the BGF one. It looks incomplete or not entirely well done though I'm being very ungrateful to somebody learning to make player models and skinning them. BGF seems to be a little more amateurish than FH2 and the statics in XWW2 just look, sorry to say/hope their devs don't read this, childish.

Awesome...I hate our old flag! BTW, I'm 80% sure that you're using the 1868 Canadian flag and not the revised flag of 1925(only difference being the crest/coat of arms)...The fact that the one you have on your loading screen was made in 1968, which left ample time for modification, and that you have tons of these flags floating around the net saying 1925 means... ca-21-re.gif
