bizness;4309801 About the The Gebalt Ladung, something is weird. They throw it like you said at their feet. The thing is they throw it at nothing. I've seen them stand there with nothing around but friendlies and drop it for no reason killing everyone around

@mydjinny

Well it depends on what grenade you are talking about. I see them throw the mills all match long. If you are referring to the sticky bomb they won't throw it. It is said that bots won't throw weapons that are coded to stick like the C4 in vbf2. They work but it is usually a suicide run.

Maybe they think it's C4 and are trying to lay traps? Of course they don't realize the weapons are on a timed fuse, not remotely detonated, so they go boom. Probably not all that important, but is it possible for them to treat the AT weapons as grenades rather than as C4? Then they may actually throw it.

Maybe the bots are coded with better AI than you think, and they just know what a good time is.

bizness;4309801The firing stances are set to Lying. The optimalrange setting might help but they will still try to fire standing and crouched. As far as kits go I have set some to 0 and others high and they still choose the kit set at 0 (not as much but they still do). They seem to select the kit and suits the situation. Even back in bf1942 they would spam the AT kits if there were vehicles around at the time. This isn't a good thing for infantry based maps. About the The Gebalt Ladung, something is weird. They throw it like you said at their feet. The thing is they throw it at nothing. If you set it to lying and raise the optimal range percentage they will go prone and shoot at an enemy, but there is one key factor that cripples the MG34 from all the other weapons: The Bots want to use it But the Maps are horrible for singleplayer. What a bot does is he sees his target no matter his distance from it, when he gets into firing range he goes into the best firing stance (lying) if something is in his way, he will stand up or crouch instead of manuevar to another spot. With FH2's maps using so many static objects, and so many enclosed tight spaces, the bots using weapons like this are crippled. Because there is always something in their way, and even if they get a shot on a guy, and they lay down to shoot him, He's dead by the time the MG is ready to fire by some other bot rapidly engaging enemys with a rifle. Supercharge would've been the best map for that weapon, problem is the Bots get stuck inside the city, the German bots dont know where to go. That city at the end of the map is way too confusing EVEN to humans. These bots need space, and wide open areas to be able to engage each other properly. El Alamein 16 player map has a strange curve to it? Why? The map should be straight, not have a sudden angle to it. and the 64 player maps are stupid to use Light Combat Mode on, becaue walking through those massive maps is stupid, so your never going to see alot of infantry combat on the 64 player sized single player maps. When you make the single player versions of the maps, Try to find an area of the map that is more open, than say a City, or a really cramped middle eastern suburb, that they dont even know how to navigate. Then you'll see the use of the MG's go up. I see the bots use the MG34's perfectly, but because there is something in their line of sight, they will stand up, or crouch, as opposed to lying down. @ Ionizer Very Possible

Added to my list of bot wishes... I nkow it would be a challenge but, Bots use of binoculars to guide in artillery, like in 0.7 But here's the improvement - 'Okay chaps, let me go over the rules AGAIN You take one peak and then stop so the arty fellow can take his turn, No need to over-do it' In accordance, bots use of artillery guns (Howitzers) and mortars over great distance - I won't recommend the use of APs though - We definitely could do without bot-Arty snipers firing over 5 miles. But HE and smoke... Hmmm... We'd need some command rose for that though. For arty, I'd say, the bots should be absolutely faithful to a command for a barrage, smoke or HE, no questions asked. Did I already mention bots and the Stuka's ability to fire its main guns and use its dive horn?
