I know that in WW2 the Russians conducted a Amphibious operation that IIRC was in the Black Sea and was as large as if not larger than the Normandy Invasion. I am having problems finding details on this landing. I think it was in 1944 but not 100% sure.

Any info or links to photos would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

oh, oh, i remember this from Il2 Sturmovik! If you (or anyone) is thinking of making a map of this, you need to put in a special Ju-87 G2 Stuka with Hans Ulrich-Rudel's plane's paint job. This guy was a beast, one of his commanders said that he in his G2 replaced an entire division of panzers. at this invasion he sunk around 40 ships.
