I came to add my voice to this angst. I've seen too many games go down the drain won by an opposition who were well and truly beaten, just because of flag caps by one person, or tank, and the instant army suddenly appearing to screw your whole effort. Then there's How do you get over a bridge with 20 guys covering the bottleneck, and no matter how many you kill, their numbers never diminish? Winning battles should be about numbers at the right place at the right time, not the organised kaos of an army suddenly appearing behind you.One example- I was on gold beach with the axis using a panzershrek to defend against the assualting tanks, I'd taken out 4 tanks and we were holding the first flag with a good battle. I eventually got killed after about 10 minutes, looked around and all of the flags behind were capped, and a short time later we lost the game because of no spawn with about 300 tickets, more kills and less deaths!!!! That's just friggin ridiculous and turns me off the game instead of on. The uncappable, mostly only, base spawn seems to be the way around it. People do learn to team together if they are forced to. Take Karelia for example, when the germans only have their base, you have to take transport with team mates to capture a flag. (the main thing wrong with that map is you can't get out of the boats without the game screen jumping, lagging, bugging all over the place, leaving you a sitting duck) I say, if you want to play the hero and cap a flag on your own, then defend it on your own! until your teammates arrive in transport. SPAWN RAPES (except for main base when you have no flags) MUST DISSAPPEAR FROM THIS GAME ASAP People have different ping times and it's just low to lie in a corner and shoot people when they're appearing in the game. I've often been killed before I even see the scene! If you want instant action, instant thrills, instant instant instant, then go play unreal tournament, or the serverside merciless upcoming retrograde, or learn to control your adreniline. There's plenty of action once the battle points are established. GAMEPLAY IS TEAMPLAY or so I've heard, and the game seems to become more interesting when you have some time to think about what you're going to do. Obviously, each map has to be adapted individually and tweaked over time, but it's the PRINCIPLE that is important and that needs to be structured into the game. Even noobs will have a chance to stay alive and learn. Most of the other suggestions also seem worth implementing. C'MON DEVS, PLEASE FIX THIS BASIC STRUCTURAL FAULT IN THE GAME, AND I BELIEVE YOU'LL SEE IT'S POPULARITY GROW EVEN MORE.

OhioanIt creates more problems then it solves. People DONT stay back and defend flags, so you have jeep-crusaders charging to back flags. etc

you've answered your own objections, and hell, if your'e holding a flag, someone or a unit will come against you and you'll get plenty of action and if you like fighting on your own, a chance to see what you're made of.
