Well I was enjoying myself last night playing FH2, had just done some performance tweaks and a custom skin for my No. 4, when i decided on El Alamein that you know what, i wanted to use the sniper rifle. So I found my sniper rifle spawn point, and spent probably the whole match trying to get a sniper position, and I can tell you...its way too damn hard, i went 2 and 17 because I couldnt traverse the large desert without getting blown up by a tank, or machine gunned by an aircraft, rendering that sniper rifle virtually useless unless defending the main base or something. My suggestion to make the sniper rifle kit a little bit easier to recover and use, is to make them spawn at MORE, than just the main base, so that we have access to sniper rifles throughout the battlefield, making it actually useful to the common infantryman, And its not just on El Alamein, except for things like Operation Hyacinth, and Mersa Matruh, its almost impossible to get anywhere with a sniper rifle in the maps. They need more spawn points, so that all that coding modeling and animating didnt go to waste.

I agree with your suggestion. I'd actually go even further and suggest that they make the sniper kit a normal limited kit, instead of a pickup kit. Frankly I find the pickup kits a bit retarded and unrealistic, it's not like you can just pick up a scoped rifle and instantly become a sharpshooter even through you're actually an engineer and had no training with a sniper rifle.

yeah why not make the sniper a spawnable class that shoot mini nukes so you can kill tanks with it

guys there is a reason that you can only pick it up and not spawn with it, this is WW2 not the game "elite sniper", snipers were very limited and why should one force put a sniper kit somewhere in the desert, in their mainbase would make much more sense cause there ONLY YOUR TEAM has access to it. and if you cant cross the desert with your sniper try hitch hiking with a tank or take a jeep and if that doesnt work cause the enemy allways kills you? i guess you are fucked, why should a sniper be able to get somewhere when teh rest of the team cant ? he has no magical cloaking device and the kit doesent feature a fancy guilesuit, all that makes you different fro the normal grunt is that small scope on your rifle ( and a few extra loadout) . so dont expect to rambo around with a sniper, snipers mainly work wonders in anti infantry defence and reconnaissance. their offense capabilitys are limited and only work well when under cover and as you should have found out in the desert there isnt much cover...

Lol, did I ASK for a ranged nuclear attack? All I'm saying is instead of putting 2 sniper rifles on the map as pickups, make the sniper kit a selectable limited kit and limit it to 2, that's all. 2 snipers on the map either way, only my way is more realistic and doesn't punish people for not knowing exactly where the rifle spawns. (not to mention how many times I've been deliberately teamkilled right after taking the rifle)

Is it possible to let the kit disapear faster then other kits (immediatly)? This will eliminate the reason for TKing because you canĀ“t get the kit.

Eh, I've had some useful sniper runs. The thing to do is change your expectations in terms of how useful you'll be. As the sniper, your job is more to do things like make sure that 6lber never stays manned for longer than 10 seconds or keeping that enemy LMG from pinning down a friendly squad. I also use it to scout and call out spots for arty, as well as enemy targets by type (IE: Enemy armor spotted!).

To do that, I usually hitch a ride with a tank, or go on foot for a ways, then use the terrain to crawl or run obscured while I get into position. Don't forget to use your smoke grenades, too.

Sniper and scout are also both good classes for squad leaders.

Im not asking for the sniper kit to be a kit selection, what im suggesting here is that the sniper rifle kit be spawned at more than just the Main Bases, but at the Other Command Posts as well to make accessing a sniper rifle easier on those who wish to use it, as traveling from the main base to a position is often impossible or complicated in so many ways,

What about making it so the sniper kits spawn closer to the action? I mean, at the start of the round they spawn at the main, but as the game progresses, they'd spawn on other flags closer to the actual front line. The problem with this is that its already hard to find sniper rifles as it is, if you'd give them 2-4 different spawn positions, then it would be almost impossible for new people to find and use them, because seemingly, the kits would be spawning at a different position every time. But then again if they spawn back at the main only, there's a good chance they won't be used at all.
