im short of time now but i have idear wich may do or maybe not gonna do any good but lets give it a try anyway: we all know liberty ship in desert rose, right? and we all know the japanese bomber in midway, right again? so... lets put about 4 liberty ships and 1 or 2 those smaller battleships to escort them... let put japanese torpedo bombers to spawn like the bomber in midway, and make usa/british to defend liberty ships against air attack... and btw battleships could be used by putting 1 or 2 subs to japs :naughty: offcorse it could do a fine atlantic map if you would put group of german subs to attack that formation... just add at least 1 battleship there. and you have any long range bombers yet? or offcorse b17 would do a job if you can arm it whit depth chargest... just to give subs liiitle more thread... go on surface and fast? or slowly in submerged... i would love... and hey can you do safe place for those guys who are yousing subs guns? deck gun and those would give MUCH more use if you could have more pls whit you. :confused: please some comments? any other players would like?

Japs never pressed attacks agianst fleets like that except in the combat zones.

Japs had some of the best subs and did have the best torpedoes of ww2 and never used them to shut down US shipping.

I know at Guadalcanal some of the cargo ships were hit and at leyte and later kamikazes hit them.

well subs to japs werent even in main idear, just a extra job for those cruisers... anyway i still think that fleet versus planes could make a good map... but ok lets forget pacific and make that plane idear go to crete? werent german planes allways upon allied suply convoys... i just sugested map IDEAR... not damm storyline... so just think its a map whit side X against side Y... now satisfyed?

There was the Tiger Convoy in the Med that fought its way through to bring badly needed tanks to the 8th Army. Suffered serious casulties but it arrived with most of the supplies.

It was hit hard by Stuka's, Ju-88's, and Italian SM79 and He-111 torpedo bombers.

ok... so here you have your storyline if you realy want it... but you havent sayed anything about that could that kind map be even played, and that was the main idear :D

I would say a convoy point A to point B map without losing the merchantman. The Brits would get 4 merchantmen, 4 destroyers, and a carrier. Germans get 3 or 4 land bases to attack the convoy with. Brits win if they get any of the Merchantman to point B, Axis wins if they sink all 4 merchantman. Maybe there should be 6 merchantmen?

Only problem is the code that the map ends when one ship reaches point B. But I guess this could be done.

blaah... and were do you need land bases may i ask? if they can be done so that planes spawns to air... i dont believe it would be too much fixing code to get some point to get ammo back... and idea was survive against air attacks so long that enemy tickets run out / time ends.... like 15 min or so... and i dont think it would make any sense to get ship a---> b because all would just run there as fast they can and doing so they would leave about... 4 min to axis ? dun think its worth of loading map for 5 min round... not at all

I wouldn´t mind seeing another ocean map set around protecting a convoy. Should actually be pretty simple.

We have the convoy ships, they are featured in Desert Rose.

We have all the other required vehicles.

The convoy would then need to be marked as a mission objective, similar to the "Task-force" Map in GC.

And voilà, you have a convoy attack scenario.

and i forgotted to say: no airforces to allied.. it would be just a same plane camp than every where else... just force them to use/ fix ships
