Whats the point of this class if there's engineer class available? The binocs hardly give this class an edge so why not remove pistol and add an smg? Or your own configuration of weapons, wrenches, etc.
Tanker with smg, wrench and binocs. Engineer with rifle(or carbine), mines, satchel and mine-removing knife/shovel or sumthing.
omg MEGA NOOB ! its random 1/3 times he gets a Sub Machine gun.. PLAY THE F*CKING MOD BEFORE YOU START TO WHINE!!!!!!
True. But i think he meant smg all the time, not randomizing.
M3 grease gun was standard issue to US tankers and IIRC wasnt retired til late 1980's.
And yes I have played tanker and had a grese gun but I did not know it was random.
I say give the tanker the SMG all the time. But also remove the wrench from engineer and have the tanker as the only class with the ability to repair tanks.
No, I like this little feature.
Or maybe just reverse normally u get smg but you get pistol somtimes for tanker. Maybe give random pistol for any class really-- for when you'v been a naughty soldat, heh. If youi tk u a get a pistol next respawn....
You shouldnt need a smg if you are in a tank. The main idea of the class is to repair, not infantry combat. If you are a tanker, you should not be leaving your tank anyway. Also if the tanker got a smg all the time, then how about the pilot class?

Tankers of most every fighting nation were issued submachine guns in case they had to abandon their tank. Americans usually got M3s and .45 automatics, Germans recieved MP40s and maybe a pistol, and Russians had PPShs. I'm not sure about Brits or Japanese. The submachine guns were stashed inside the tank and were not used unless the crew had to ditch.
Pilots certainly didn't have submachine guns, and few carried pistols.
So what's the problem?
