One thing i like in CoD is that you can hear if some1 is shooting on the another side of the map. You don't really need any ambience noises. :)

Exactly, that's what I also hope to be possible to do in FH2. I mean.. in BF2 machine gun sounds etc do sound different depending how far are you from the source of the sound don't they? It would be nice in FH2 for you to hear very far away sounds like artilley shells falling, machine gun fire, explosions, etc but muffled of course. It would be the the players themselves creating the ambience sounds!

I actually believe that the tank engines are a little too quiet...and I don't want to turn my speakers way up. I am willing to bet that in RL infantrymen in a city could hear the noise of a tanks monstrous engine from around 1-2 blocks away. In Destert Storm for the PS2 for example, when you came near a tank hiding in a back alley, the engine would start up and it was LOUD. You could hear it everywhere. I hope more ambience sounds also make it in. If you turn up your sound on Omaha Charlie, you hear the rattle of MG42s and the bangs of snipers. It's fun to think that you are on this little stretch of beach; yet down a few hundred feet away are over a thousand men landing, shooting, and getting shot at. Us as the players should know that.
