Yes, I recognize that pilots are much hated for their ability to bomb tanks and such. I expect that was the case during the war too.

Regardless, I just want to make sure that some sense of balance is maintained. Planes don't need to be "uber" but they also shouldn't be so hamstrung as to be practically pointless as they were in 0.6.

As I said, realism is great, but realism has to be done in context. Adherence to strict realism in one realm when the game engine itself prevents realism in others is a bad idea.

games like ww2ol/Battleground Europe, IL2, LOMAC, + the janes games allow for realism with their 8km+ view distances, their 30,000ft ceilings, and proper throttle control, but not BF2 with its 200m view distance and scaled height ceiling
