The obtuse header actually means: How planes i FH2 should fly considering the fact that the world has been slightly scaled.... Simply put, I think planes in Fh2 are manageable if you like Plane SIMS, but since the game is scaled, i personally think things like nose cam, chase cam and most importantly, a free-er flying physics should exist.... The battlefield is smaller than should be the case and distances are covers quicker and the sky's roof is lower, so planes should agree with this Some planes like the BF109, the Beaufighter are manageable for strafing, but the spitfire (Supposedly the best plane on the Battlefield so far) is a sick sick sonofa... cuz you see the nose cramming the view when you swtich to aim cam... Recall the change in plane physics b/n Fh1 0.6 and 0.7? This be worthy considerations?

plane physics are hardto creat since BF2 does only support YET planes and coding prop plane physics is hard work, it is constantly improved and tried to get most of it. i agree that planes are not as nice as in fh1 but give it some time coders are working on it but it is a though process ...

afaik, NO NOSECAM EVER, PERIOD ! you already got a 6'clock view, you wont get anything else.

All other (heavy fighting)vehicles and even infantry has been stripe of external views why should planes get them back ? my tip use the freelook option ALOT tilt the plane a bit left and look out of the window, find your target, make a nice turn, and kick some ass.

I think it is perfect the way it is. Set up your HAT switch for free look or stay on the ground.

Lack of nose cam > whores camping the airfield waiting for planes while you loose all flags.

I stayed in the skies for most of bf'42 and and a decent amount in FH but I'm not finished with my soldiering and tanking yet. 1st things 1st.

I think the planes fly horribly. I have yet to keep one in the air for more than a few minutes, even when no one is shooting at me. I don't fly with a joystick, and keyboard/mouse controls are very bad.

I fly with the mouse and keyboard and it is no problem staying in the air. Hitting something...now that's another story. Of course, I was never that great at flying. :rolleyes:

I was.And now... *Throws hands in the air* Hell, before I can hit anything smaller than an aiplane, I need to switch to cannons... And I used to love the skill of blowing up trucks with MGs and seeig that debris fly 40 feets up... I also miss the amount of shots it used to take to destroy anthing..Now destroying ground targets doesn't feel like a challenge...2 few shots on target required to take out a truck or 88.... I really wish MGs in planes would be restored to their initial grace - And the cannons shouldn't create explosions.... Higher dust spurts (or whatever) when cannon shells hit something compared to MG dust whatevers, but not red flames.... Unless that is the way it's supposed to be.... But the way planes handle definitely needs work.... Personally, I'd beg for the nosecam cuz I think pilots kinds have a feel for where bullets are going better than players get and then again, I'd beg for chase cam also, just for scenematic experience... But I nkow the devs would refuse Finally, I'd ask for more viberation when planes fire, I think FH42 had more viberation and it made it more scenematic than exists in FH2.... Also perhaps more translucent tracer effect would be nice and a shorter distance before they fade away... The long streaks aren't bad, but a bit much sometimes Saw Pearl Harbor again recently, and really, really missed flying in Fh42...

Fooling around with the tweak file I got Free mouse look to work on planes.In the planes tweak file set 1 to 0.ObjectTemplate.toggleMouseLook 0But i dont think FH2 team is ready to make every one get a joystick to fly a plane just yet.
