Ok this is another idea from S:HoWII that I got while playing it. I still don't know how I didn't think about this before! I was playing as American when I saw a German deploying a MG34 and standing up while using it and firing at me. As like the old photographers that would set a tripod for putting the camera on it. Adding a new kit that would deploy the MG this way (just add a new one and keep the one you prone of course) would be great when you're behind sandbags or inside building overlooking through the window. Many people asked if it could be done like in DoD by making your MG attach to the sandbag but since that's not possible how about this way? Pic: mg34trip.jpg Yes, it's from the German FH weapons. I think these tripods were also used as AA. They look very maneuverable.

Or if possible..... could it be made so you could "switch" the single kit into different modes, like the Pak40 HE shells? That way, you could pick up one kit, and hit NumPad 0 or whatnot to change how it deployed into either prone or tripod position?

there were realistic tripods for the mg34 in 0.5 but people complained they were too exposed when they were crouching and firing, so now all the mg's got the browning tripod so they can be prone

Wasn't around for that, but given a choice, no one should complain. And in some positions, you cna crouch and fire over a barrier.

Ok but we still could have both prone and crouch position tripods. Prone for open fields without cover and crouch when behind a window, sandbag etc.

The USA never used a .303 machine gun...

If you mean the .30 cal, it's in .62 on certain tank mounts.
