Many weapons like the BAR had different types of ammo, like high-velocity, or armor piercing rounds. My idea for this to work is to make a seperate weapon icon in the inventory (it can hold up to eight objects if I'm not mistaken) that will allow you to be able to switch between said ammo types. It shouldn't be too hard to code, since the different ammo types can be drawn from seperate pools. The only thing the devs need to work out, is how to code it so that you are forced to reload every time you switch to a different kind of ammo. Does anybody want to back me up on this?
With AP bar ammo I would finially be able to kill those pesky ha-go's.
in .5 you could actually kill a chia ha by jumping on it's back and pumping led into it. I did it on one occasion and damged Chi has on others.
In WW2 the US issued AP ammo almost exclusively for the BAR because it was so effective against almost everything they shot at. Cinder block walls, wood, people, etc.
Well it might be a feature for some weapons but generaly I don´t think very many firearms used different types of ammo.
I do not think one shall do such things to much, one must have a good balance between the units. A unit with such diffirent bullets etc would make it a bit to unbalanced i think, there should be an idea to play things cept that unit :)
would ther realy be any point in haveing differnt types of bullits any way?
ANZACSASimagin the holes it would put in people
I'm not a balistics expert, but I would imagine a Armor Piercing round would go straight through a Human and carry on, but 'm not sure.

Right. A bullet that fragments apart does alot more damage to a human target. Actaully releasing its energy into the target instead of passing throught it.
