i don't remember bu i think the panhard 178 were more appreciated than the Sdkfz 222 by the german army and so a lot of p178 continued to serve after 1940

King_Nothing100On the Panhard 178? Yes, 25 mm SA-L 1934 L/72. And the standard French AP rounds had better penetration than the standard German 20 mm AP rounds in the Panzer II's.

Yes , I remember having a fondness for the Panhard and Daimler in WW2OL; you could flank pretty well with the speed, and if close enough, could take out any German tank. With the 232 OTOH, I can recall several times emptying 2 clips of 20mm into the side of a Crusader II from 50m and eating a 6-lbr shell in response :D

ya i like the smaller AT capable vehicles... Sdkfz 222, pzII, greyhound etc. etc. i get a real feeling of pwnage, when you blow a larger deadlier tank :) ill take one of these, over bigger tanks everytime.. its more challenging.

My only request is to give armored cars and scout cars the ability to spot for and call in artillery strikes. that would enhance their scout /recon role.

that would mean that they will have to add a 2nd position on, lets say, teh SdKfz 222? I think it should keep both the 20mm gun & MG.

dont be so negative, the panhard was equiped with the equivalent of a 2pdr, and for its day it could take out nearly any axis tank from the side with ease
