Just wondering,as long time player of bf2.Arti can sometimes be a little over powering for some.Have anyone heard if arti is going to be called in or commanders free will.However I am aware of the the fact that they are going to keep as close to the time period as possible.

I think arty should be called in the same as FH1 but maybe the commander could call in airstrikes, by small bombers or a fighter bomber.

No one knows really what FH2 is doing with the commander role... so there are too many options to consider. Personally, I would like to see the commander only being able to give orders to squads, and ONLY firing artillery barrages if a SL requests it. So the commander cannot fire unless a SL requests it. Some people think firing arty like this is un-realistic, however, it really isn't. IRL if you had a good forward observor, you could get the first round to hit exactly where you needed it, then call it in as a FFE. In FH1's artillery system, by the time you got the artillery registered on to your target... there was no target as he probably already moved.

I would like the commander to actually command and not play with toys. If your typical rambo ADHD addled player doesn't enjoy playing commander GOOD!! Don't make it fun or cool with crazy solo features, make it so it attracts people that want to command.

Do whatever you want, but dont take the UAV away, it would be so realistic to have in FH!!!

i hope you are being sarcastic about the UAv, the only real way i seee to leave the UAV in is if a spoeter plane flys around in an area to sen dback positions of enemy and apear on map.

Large arty such as the stuff that you find on Nordwind should be under the control of the commander, players should have mobile arty such as the Priest. This to prevent abuse, aka pixelsaiming, something that is bound to rear its ugly head again if you put player controlled static arty into the game.
