Since I'm not allowed to go out of house cause I made some bad things... I will take the time to make a Poll with all ideas (max. 10). So the devs can see what we actually want. And probably also a Poll where you can vote for more options. Hope another one opens the Poll so I don't have to read the hole thread again -,-"

Mods can add additional poll options so you don't need to limit it to ten if you don't want to...

OK I try it. If you want to add something just post it in a way that I can directly put it in into the Poll. It will be possible to vote for more than 1 option. 1. BF2 arty system like it is now without any changes. 2. BF42 arty system like it is now without any changes. 3. Both arty systems, just that the BF2 arty can only be controled by the commander and the BF42 arty system is for the squads (so they have their arty guys and their own spotters). 4. Make "spotter vehicles" usefull by giving them the ability to give coordinates for the arty to the Commander (Bf2 arty system). 5. Have use of Radios. Spotters and radio guys can target a position and give the coordinates to their squad leader and he can call the Commander&/or the arty guys of the squad for artillery fire at the respective position. 6. Only 1 "recon squad" is avaible for getting arty coordinates. They can spott and call for arty through radio. 7. The Commander can't see the enemies on his map if no one of the the recon squad (or just a spotter) didn't clicked on a place of the map. And when he does so it opens that place for the Commander.

How about squad leaders can request artillery, and commanders can approve/deny only.

How about a simple poll with options like: 1. BF1942 style (manned artillery only, with slight changes) 2. BF2 style (unmanned artillery only, with slight changes) 3. Both BF2 and BF1942 artillery. By 'with slight changes' i mean changeing who/what can call strikes/give coordients etc. Everyone could have they own idea on how the artillery should be, if needed another poll could be made to refine our choice but the devs will have the final say in what will be in FH2. I think these are the 3 biggest suggestions and will answer the main question about how people want artillery in FH2

SjoertActually i dont want to see any pickup kits at all. I hate them. Pickup kits shouldnt even be in FH2. Because before you know it you will see tons of them. Make Radio Operator a standard class. And none of this whole pickup crap stuff. People should be free to be a support class without annoying restriction/rules/whatever (with the exception of class limits) like the whole pickup crap kit idea. Oh and dont base anything of movies (for the 100th time) movies are no where near reality. War was hell and thats something they dont show in movie's. Think about that.

Well I only metioned the movie because the guy who started the tread did... And is it that unlikely that someone had to 'liberate' an enemy radio to replace a broken one? Though I doubt anyone successfully dressed a some Navaho guy in a japanese uniform to get one:uhm: And yeah, class restrictions would be better than pick-ups... I keep forgeting you can do that in BF2...

Can some mod help me out ? I wanted to open the Poll but it says that there is a charackter limit. Here are the 10 Options. Please make it possible that you can vote for more than 1 Option.

  8. Squad leaders can request arty and Commanders can ONLY approve/deny (that means they can't shoot arty without squad leaders)
  9. Squad leader is a Officer and can call for Arty from every arty in game (BF42) and from the Commander (BF2) too
  10. Squad leader has his own stationary arty that has to be controled by someone of his squad and he when he calls for arty ONLY his arty can see the request.
