Canned BreadWell I only metioned the movie because the guy who started the tread did...
Its ok. I just got a little angry because some people still tend to think that what happened in movies such as SPR, Wind talkers and the rest is realistic in anyway because believe me, it isnt, not even close to realistic. If it where realistic no one would watch a WW2 movie. :)
And is it that unlikely that someone had to 'liberate' an enemy radio to replace a broken one? Though I doubt anyone successfully dressed a some Navaho guy in a japanese uniform to get one:uhm:
It might have happened but im pretty sure the soldiers would be unable to use it because they probably wouldnt know how to use it. Afterall each country had different radio's. :nodding:
And yeah, class restrictions would be better than pick-ups... I keep forgeting you can do that in BF2...
Well everyone forgets something now and then, nothing to worry about.
I have to admit i never could get the artillery direction screen. you would never have much time to figure out how to use it as your forward observer was either shot or got tired of using his Bionocs. But i am probably in the minority most every one else seems to be able to use those big guns with a spotter pretty easy. I was hell with those short range 105's and PaK 40's though

lol ya I realized that after I posted.... but was late and I was tired so went to bed hoping you wouldn't notice until I got back:D oh, well...
Or you could do it this way, you can get artillery vehicles and artillery barrages, everybody happy i guess

Hehe, no problem. :smokin:
Whatever it is, it should require the input of two players at least to fire it accurately. No more one-man-band artillery.
Yeah no one man
I just to clarify some people regarding BF42 artillery system and the disadvantage of having pixel-shooters. Since in BF2 we have a kind of dynamic skybox (I've not paid much attention but I've noticed a map, Daqing Oilfields I think, that actually has moving clouds) things will be harder for them won't they? The only problem is that the skybox seems that it is not fully dynamic and as I looked closely ony the clouds closer to the ground move. The others are part of the skybox itself and don't move. It still should hinder the pixel-shooters efforts I think...

and there's another problem: pixel shooters don't always rely on the skybox, but rather any object that gan guide them, such as trees, buildings, etc
