Hey, I've just played the Soldiers: Heroes of WWII demo and I must say it looks like a great WWII RTS game. After playing the demo I've come up with new ideas to FH apart from the ones I had already in mind. -How about adding the AT Grenade (RPG-40). It explodes as soon as it touches the ground or a vehicle and would do a bit of damage to tanks. I'm not sure which nation used it but I'm guessing the Germans or the Russians. There were various sizes it seems from the only pic I've found on the net: attachment.php?attachmentid=10557 -Add another type of the SdkFz7 (with seats and covering) halftrack which was able transport 8 troops in total (2 in front and 6 in the back) in real life. In the game I don't know if it's possible to be 6 positions on the back of it. If not 4 positions would have to do. sdkfz7.jpgOO%20EDW%20Sdkfz7(Air).jpg -Add towable nebelwerfers that would be attached to Sdkfz7 halftracks like you've done with the flak38? I couldn't find any images from real war so the one from S:HoWWII will have to do: sdkfz-7.jpg - To finish I was thinking of maybe make it possible to open and close the Kubelwagen's covering using the up/down arrow keys. It would be fun to use it and quite handy to have some cover when you're inside it. Also you could add this same feature if you ever make a Sdkfz7 w/cover that wouldn't have any vehicle towed to it. kubelwagen.jpgkubelwagen.jpg

I have Soldiers-Heros of World War 2.

Its a good game, although its a bit short and very buggy.

The RPG-40 is a rather effective AT greande ingame, but I doupt it was that effective in reality. Not sure if its really needed, but it might be a good addition for the AT-class.

As for towable stuff, I think it will come sooner or later. However its rarley used feature in BG42 and not absolutly nessesary.

As for the Kubelwagen, I dont really care...

Well first we need some statistics on the RPG40, production numbers and penetration? Kubel with tarp would be good for atleast winter maps, and if we get rain effects sometime. A Sdkfz 7 without flak36 is an easy way to add another vehicle, but well we've got the Opel Blitz. If it would be much better for offroad driving sure, but right now it doesnt really make a difference.

Info on the grenade is kinda hard to find but here's what I found: http://miniatures.de/html/int/shells-russian.html Relevant text: V.P.G.S. 40 Grenade, 30mm The V.P.G.S. 40 was a stick grenade. It is not certain if this grenade used a chaped charge or if it was a chemical thermide grenade designed to burn its way through armour plate. The former is more likely, and its relatively poor performance may be explained by the poor quality of Soviet explosives. R.P.G. 40 Rifle Grenade, 30 mm A rifle grenade version of the V.P.G.S. 40 grenade, it had a maximum projected range of 60 metres. V.P.R.S. Grenade, 76 mmThe Soviet V.P.R.S. grenade required a very strong individual to throw it, the device resembles a large paint can with a handle attached underneath. I'm supposing it's the first one. It seems like the grenade was designed to burn through the tank's armor. From the 2nd line it seems there was a rifle version.

30mm is adequate(?) in 1941 maps, but still how common were they?

D-Fens, more info on the RPG 40: From the site http://fisherts.home.mindspring.com/skirmishcampaigns/: http://fisherts.home.mindspring.com/skirmishcampaigns/downloads/red_waves.pdf On the .pdf file go to the bottom of the page in the 4th line it says: "4.The Soviet Company Headquarters and Political Section each have d6 RPG-40 Ani-Tank grenades, they must be distributed prior to play. A soldier may carry two". I still didn't understand what this is. It seems to be some kind of board game but from the looks of it I think it is historical accurate. More info: It seems like in Kursk, even in 1943 (when RPG-43 (http://www.inert-ord.net/russ02i/rpg43/index.html) was starting to be manufactured), the RPG-40 AT grenade was still used by the Red Army: http://www.aviapress.com/viewonekit.htm?MCS-024 In "Illustrations" you will find: "8. 13th Army Defensive Area, held by the Red Army soldiers. In the background one can see both small arms and a lot of anti-tank antitank weapons: 14,5-mm PTRD antitank rifles and RPG-40 grenades. Orel-Kursk Direction, July 1943" VERY good info here: http://www.wio.ru/galgrnd/ww2inf.htm Soviet Hand Grenades name/mission/action/delay/damage/explosives/weight/max range F-1/defensive/splinter/3,2..4,2 sec/radius 200 m/0.6 kg/35..45 m RGD-33/offens./defens./splinter/3,5..4,0 sec/radius 25-100 m/0.6 kg/30..40 m RG-42/offensive/splinter/3,2..4,2 sec/radius 25 m/0.42 kg/30..40 m RPG-40/anti-tank/heavy explosion/hit/penetration 20 mm/0.76 kg/20..25 m RPG-41/anti-tank/heavy explosion/hit/penetration 25 mm/1.4 kg/15 m RPG-43/anti-tank/satchel charge/hit/penetration 75 mm/0.65 kg 1.2 kg/15..20 m RPG-6/anti-tank/satchel charge/hit/penetration 120 mm/1.13 kg/15..20 m

Sounds like an Roleplaying game using the D6 dice system(old school Dungeons and Dragons).
