I have a emachines and run windows 98, I tried to download a audio driver and when I restarted my computer it said it detected a new hardware device and cound not find a driver for it so now I have no sound, I tried my back up disc and getting drivers from the site, drivers is not the problem, I need to know how to make my computer recognize my ctystal fusion audio driver, any help would be greatly welcomed. thanks in advanced. :confused:

So you have downloaded the drivers for your sound card? You have then installed the drivers and restarted You are then asked to find such and such a file?

Try putting the drivers on a floppy disk and then pointing the computer to the floppy disk when it looks for the files.


Look at the files names, write them down. GO into windows and click search and locate where the files are
