In WWII, the average grunt on the battlefield carried a rifle. There is no arguing that fact. The average grunt made up close to 2/3 of any army, from any country. Yet in FH, there is an overabundance of automatic weapons. While we did have GOOD steps takin in .66, I feel its time to nip this problem in the butt and finish it off. So since the dev's themselves have said availability is a problem, how bout offering up some solutions to it? Some ideas.... Drop MG34, Type 99, Bar, Bren as SPAWNABLE kits. Keep them as pick up kits. On some maps the battlefeild is littered with them. Falise Pocket being a prime example. The average player that uses these either camps in a bush all map, or plays dolphin-diving rambo. These are heavy support weapons. Implement more of the drop kit Mg's. That way the bush players still have there mg sniper, but cant run around spraying it too. Do not place Officer and Close Quarters in same map. Officers should be the primary holders of smg's. Officers lack gernades. Close quarters is too much of a kill as many as you can before you die and respawn class. Rambos #1 choice. Remove arm hit box...if possible do this for the rifle and LMG. The character animations in FH will always place the arm in front of the chest. A good rifle shot in game now mostly hits the arm. This is due to arm placements in front of the body. A crouched player in fh has his arms covering his entire front body, thus turining a front or side chest hit into an arm hit. In RL, the bullet would pass through the arm and enter the chest from the high calibur, high velocity round. A smaller round from a small arm or smg might hit the arm and the bullet will stop at the bone. Thats why keep the hit boxes for smg's and pistols.

While I dont agree with all of your points, last night I played Nordwind on the 9th infantry server, and there were 13 (YES, THIRTEEN) people using the spawnable mg42 class. Its getting rediculous.

valirisk is very fun.. but a bit too big.. at least 50 players are needed to play it and enjoy it.. but lack of autos does not make it unplayable.. in fact it is perfectly playable FOR ME

I prefer to get shot by an automatic weapon rather than by a railgun (aka rifle) across 500m.

At least I know who shot me then and can get my own back next time...

Actually, Kharkov still has a spawnable mg34 kit, and i belive russia still has a kit with its wonderful ppsh. A board with no autos? Besides an all plane map, i highly doubt that. Why did you people quit vanilla? Why did you DL FH in the first place? Ill bet because somewhere along the line you heard it was a "realism" mod where the little arcade features of vanilla were not as prevalant. That qot you interested. Up untill .65 we had a harder enviroment to play and we all liked it. Now infintry combat is heavily heading back towards that vanilla automatic fest, and you all are acting surprised that people are seeing this and want it ended? Im more surprised people are actually against it. Maybe if you all got out of your wonderful tanks for a round and left the airstrip you might see exactly what im talking about.

Well, Battle Isle has no spawnable automatic weapons, and it's fun.
