I think on some maps instead of having the commander call an artillery strike they can call an airstrike. You will hear a loud noise comming from the sky and when you look up you will see a bunch of B17's dropping bombs on the target. And when you use artillery strikes I think it should be much bigger and laonger, Instead of 4 canons there should be 10-20 of them.

well for bombers couldnt you just get someone to fly them and then bomb and also after playing GI.Combat gave me a good idea when ur close to the shore u can call in a strike frm naval craft

Wow, you are the first and only person to think of this roll%20eyes%20%28sarcastic%29.gif Although i like your idea of bombs in "tins". I guess they used tins for easier transportation of bombs? Or was it to conserve them better?

Just before Cobra kicked off in August of 1944, B-17s along with other 8th AF heavies carpet bombed the path of the American advance. Thats the only time I can ever think of the Fort being used in the role of close air support, although they were used several times early in the war to bomb Japanese ships, with little effect.

If any kind of airstrick is implemented, AA and other aircraft should be able to shoot down the opposing planes to prevent the airstrick. Would force the commander to choose between airstricks and artillary, depending on the current situation.

I would find airstrikes by strategic bombers suitable for some maps in FH. Maybe it would be a special feature that requires you to conquer a certain point (Radar tower for example) or destroy certain obejects (multiple Flak 88)before you can use it.

Capturing a radar station is a sound idea, however maybe we can relate this to the use of the 'mammoth' armoured command post vehicle from another thread. However, I think it would be unfair if you had to destroy flak, what would the victims use in self defence, Gewehrs and Lugers?

If this is implemented, I ask the devs to make the bombers so high you can only see their "fog shadows" and that they are spread out enough or the "wind" is so high that there is a large danger of hitting the spotter/callerinner. There are countless examples of friendly fire from bombers that sent off course, thick fog, high altitude, night, the list runs on. Cheers, from Gemini's wurst nitemare.
