Wasup folks; I'm preparing to format my hard drive and do a clean reinstall of windows but there's one thing: how do I backup the game data for my games? For instance, I've unlocked a lot of stuff in Midtown Madness 2 but if I format I'll lose it all. Is there a way I can save my game data? I want to do the same thing for Quake III Arena, Driver, and Simcity 3000, also. Any help is appreciated. Xero

Some games, Undying for example, offer to leave your save games when you uninstall it...you may just want to back up the saved games to save space. Maybe compress them if they take up too much room then you can extract them when you reinstall the game after you format. Try just backing up the "game files" of the games you want. Not the maps, just the files that keep up with your configuration or what not. (*.cfg, *.ini, etc.) The small ones will contain the relevant data. The files that are like 30mb or there about would more than likely be the maps. Hope it helps... biggrin.gif
