I like this map, despite what I may sound like I'm saying next. This is a fun map. The vegetation is done so well that it is actually a camoflauging element instead of just lag creating eye candy.

Moving on... Japan gets their asses torn into 8 distinct pieces and served to them on platters made of their dead comrades' heads.

Hillariously, we'll look at the spawnable weapons on that map.

Japan Arisaka w/ nades, pistol Arisaka w/ nades AND knee mortars and pistol Arisaka w/ just nades (only 2??) ArisakaCarbine w/ Splody pack ArisakaCarbine w/ Expacks

As you can see, a staggering array of options availible to Japan. You can have an Arisaka, or an Arisaka. You could even have an Arisaka!

U.S.A. M1 Carbine w/ Pistol, binocs M1 Garand w/ pistol, nades BAR w/ knife Springfield w/ pistol, rifle nades M1 Carbine w/ engy kit

A total of 4 seperate and distinct possibilities for Allies, with plenty of firepower. This includes a LMG/Support class for mowing down the defenseless Japs at their base.

Japan has several distinct disadvantages, and a few really useless advantages (which raises the question of the term advantage being used to describe something useless..).

They all spawn in a wide open field. There's no cover where they spawn. They have to walk across the airfield to get into the trees. If they lose some flags, the allies are in the trees and RAPE them with GUNS from LONG DISTANCE and the Axis spawn continually in retarded positions. All the Japanese weapons on this map are pretty sucktastic. And by all, I mean 2. Its not that Japan didn't have other weapons at that point in the war, its that the map dosent have other weapons.

What we have so far, the Japs have a shitty spawn and shitty guns, with no automatic weapons at all. This is an infantry map, so take a wild guess at which kind of weapon will be the most useful. Now the Japs have the Zeros, which are somewhat slightly better then the P-38s. They have no ground attack ability like the P-38s, and the P-38s are far better for killing individual infantry with their guns because they are centrally mounted and don't converge. The Zeros are better anti-air fighters.. but the P-38s are great anti-air fighters and great anti-ground fighters. The air war in this map is frivilous and unnecessary. Why are there planes? Why are there so FEW planes?

Japanese Equipment possible to be added to this map

Type 11 SMG - developed late in the war, this was an odd-looking SMG that fired 8mm Nambu. I can't find any pictures online, but I have a firearms reference book that says it was produced in large numbers during the latter half of the war in the Pacific.

Type 100 SMG - We all know what this is.

Bergmann MP18/MP28 - I hate this weapon but at least it's an SMG.

Type96/Type99 - LMG needed for Japan, no questions asked.

Type11 LMG - Fired 6.5mm from 5-round stripper clips placed in a hopper, for a total of 30 round capacity. High rate of fire, accurate, but prone to jamming and fouling due to ridiculous feeding mechanism.

(Deployable) Hotchkiss 13.2x99mm french heavy machine gun - The Japs used 13.2x99mm (which is a SLIGHTLY larger copy of the M2 Browning .50 cal) in all the branches of the military. The MGs were 2-man teams, and it was heavy and the ammunition was heavy, but it was a reliable weapon that fired a very powerful round (same as the MGs in the Zero).

All I'm saying here, is give the Japs more weapons. Give the U.S. some Thompson kits at the spawn, give the Japs some MP18/Type100/Type11 kits at the spawn, and throw some deployable things out there. Japs need some help to win that because all their guns are shit and they have no other advantage (since its an infantry map the rape is doubled).

I love that map. Don't use anything besides a Katana and SuicideBomb on that map ;)

But i agree, they need more weapons.

All I can think of is a Type 99...

Oh, and a random, 50/50 chance of either getting a M1 Grand or M1903 Springfield.

No submachine guns, the whoring these days is painfully enough! The less maps with smg as spawnable classes the better. Give the japs there type 99 lmg's. And the random Garand/Springfield is an excellent idea.

No submachineguns please, keep it rifle/lmg only. When they nerf the bar a little regarding the crazy crosshair closing time maybe the USA will have to try to win.

some sniper pickup kit's would be nice too. After all the Japanese used a lot of snipers.

EglaerinionAnd the random Garand/Springfield is an excellent idea.

Is it? Its a 1944 map; by then I don't think Springfields were used much by anyone except snipers. Not positive on that though.

I like random weapon assignments, but it needs to be done on maps where it makes ssense.

Well the aim of this topic was to somewhat balance the map, giving the Japanese those stupid type-5 semi-auto rifles like vanilla is out of the question so randomizing US semi-auto's with bolt action rifles seems a better idea.
