Both bridges are covered by concealed positions where you can put tanks, inf with Zooks, and 105mm Howitzers. Its rare that a tank gets across. Now try getting 4 tanks across. One may be able to slip through without dying, but 4 attracts enough attention to have most of the allied team spamming that bridge.
The Tiger is being fixed. If you cant in a KT, get out of if. Americans used tons of 76mm and 90mm armoured vehicles in the BotB, so again, no.
You CAN't in a KT. They aren't invincible you know, and most people have learned how to kill them. 1 shot to the side by a M36 or one hit to the top from a 105mm arty will make it die. And the arty is hitting the end of the bridge, where it has to angle down to get back on land.. its NOT a hard thing to hit.
The only valid axis strategy I've seen is to rush to the allie's main base. Once they lose their tanks, they fall pretty quickly.
Funny, Ive never seen this happen.
All that needs to happen is to remove the Allied tanks outside the main base, just like Vanilla. No need to give Axis more tickets - they aren't supposed to win through attrition, but from capturing all the bases and leaving Allies nowhere to spawn.

If you guys have access to all that excellent German armour, and manage to loose the round, then leave and go play SP. No one that bad should be playing online. But Earwig, hes cool. He actually knows how to use tanks.
:) thanks. Im just saying, I think the map should be re-evaluated. And I constantly hit the top of tanks with the 105 and blow them to smithereens on bridges.
Ive seen that on occosaion, but not that often.
Hell, Ive gone rounds with 3/4 deaths as an axis tanker, even in the PIV.
I have been for a long time, in favor of totally scrapping the DiCE map and making a totally FH version that is realistic.
Battle of the Bulge is one of the very few vanilla maps that I like, it offers various tactics, and always plays different.. I'd almost dare say it is one of my favorite maps. The rounds are long, the battles are furious, many places to hide.. I'd keep the map the way it is now, I love it.
