McGibs;4774674RO started as an amateur mod for Unreal Tournament 200...4? (or something, I cant remember. They're all the same)
It was a UT2003 mod first, then a UT2004 mod, then it went retail. And if you want to go back further, one of the devs worked on a UT99 mod called The Third Reich, which was much the same in many ways, but was somewhat more crude technically speaking and had America and Germany as the two sides. I imagine I'm not the only one on these forums who played TTR...?
Sometimes I think I've been playing realistic ww2 mods for too long... =p
Rumored hot fix eh? :P That would be nice
BF2 Patch 1.5 might ruin some shit in FH2, hotfix is a must then.
McGibs;4776581Sten showed up in Italy.
The Sten wasn't used in Italy, due to the more than adequate supply of .45 ACP into the theatre, shipping 9mm parabellum as well was considered a waste of valuable shipping space.
Here's what I don't get.
So in BF2's engine, you can only have 1 projectile for a gun, which is why you can't have the bayonet on and shoot at the same time.
However, in BF:Vietnam, you could have the grenade launcher underslung on the CAR-15 and fire from the hip as well as shoot the grenade launcher at the same time. Why the hell would they remove this from the BF2 engine? It makes no sense to me.

more like DICE... but yeah, point taken.
This is a pretty shitty limitation nonetheless.

That was bloody annoying, because you used the right mouse button to fire the grenade launcher, you couldn't take properly aimed shots with the CAR-15. You could only 'fire from the hip', also it was totally inaccurate, you don't see soldiers firing the rifle/carbine and grenade launcher at the same time. Besides the engine in BF2 was, IIRC, built from the ground up.

Bayonets on MG-34s, so when someone walks up to your Lafette you can stab them and save a bullet.
Weren't the Japanese the only ones to mount bayonets to their LMGs? ...
