Just wondering if the thought ever came up about replacing the knife for the Japanese infantry with a bayonet. Instead of whipping out a short knife it would be a japanese bayonet, like the one already attached to the rifle. Right now it seems that the axis use the same kind of knife in all of the kits,Germen or Japanese. -MrIrritation
I´d like to have bayonetts aswell instead of these stupid knives.
Because if you still have a crosshair on your weapon in close combat mode (as in R2R you press "1", fire with left mb and stab with right mb) you cannot abuse the Knife bug.
In BattleGroup42 some classes have a rifle/bayonette combo for primary/secondary fires. That would be a lot more useful in FH too in place of the knife.

same with XWW2, both mods probably have permission from Dice to use the animation from rtr in their mods.

I doubt this, until I hear otherwise. If we got permission to use French voices etc, then I would be certain that we would have been allowed this. However, I'm unsure if we've even asked for things like the bayonet and rifle-grenade animations (even with having made our own models).

Actually, when they let you have a Mod developing, and since all rights of the mods made by the mod maker are to EA, I wouldnt think it would cause a problem.

One thing I didn't like about the R2R bayonet is if you fire the rifle you have to wait to load the next round before you can use it. It would be cool if you could fire a shot and then stab with the bayonet instead of reloading.
