Your mistake is right.
You're still wrong, though! HEAT is High Explosive Anti Tank.
You only use that against infantry if you're a retard.
The M1 Abrams uses primarily SABOT and HE rounds. HE is high explosive, that's what you use against infantry.
Faust does plenty more damage..
You are both wrong, so stop arguing ffs. You make yourselves just look retarted. A few corrections: First, the primary anti-tank munition of modern tanks is APFSDS, also referred to as the Sabot. HEAT is used against lightly (compared to MBTs) armored and soft targets, and also against helicopters. M1A2 Abrams does not carry plain HE ammunition, but instead HEAT-MP, which is also used against infantry. STAFF is strictly an anti-tank munition, and state-of-the-art at that. It's sole purpose is to fly over the target tank, explode above it directing the explosion to the lightly armored top of the target. While STAFF can be used against helicopters as well, it would often make little sense, since HEAT-MP is most of the time just as effective and less expensive (plus your tank carries more HEAT than STAFF rounds). Now could we please get back to the topic? And you two stop bashing each other before a mod wakes up and locks this thread...
noobf you all would get your heads outa books and read the real thing you would find somplace that the avrage book is 95% less correct in telling anything from weapons, to real history! The History chanel is a great reasorce they reasrch night and day before they go on the air so stop calling them lairs! They know more than you ever will! And thats why he has every right to call you all noobs, you speakers for devs should just go home and whatch so real infromation on TV! I can say that the book your all reading was published when 1865?, 1953? Thats outa date noobs.
a book published in 1953 about the second world war is going to be a lot more reputable than a ratings grabbing TV show 60 years after the war
Everyone should cool down..And Killor is right, HEAT is not for use on infantry..gees.
Jesus Christ, did this thread get derailed into a pissing fight.
As moldie said, let's cool down and get back on topic.
Simple fact of the matter is the faust is a weapon at bare minimum rated for an effective distance of 30 meters all the way up to 150.
None of the fausts act like their rated. All of them have horrible drop off rates that make it pretty much useless unless you're with 10 feet of the target and have a completely sighted crosshair.
- Give the faust longer distance with less arc drop off.. - Make it more accurate by shrinking the size of the crosshair's maximum unaimed size. - Give it more damage.
This isn't a thread about the History Channel, military terminology or who has the bigger internet penis.
It's about the panzerfaust anti-tank kits in Forgotten Hope.
you guys cant keep it clean can you? closed.
Stop you friggen flaming allready.
