Nothing is real, Everything is

it would be interesting and probably be a good addition
I dunno, some people would just continually knock you over. Like in Battlefront 2, when someone hit you with a lightsaber you would (oddly enough) fall over. And as soon as you got up again, WHAM!, fall over, repeat process until no health left... While realistic, some people would probably use it as a way to get easy kills.
I think it could be annoying, getting repeatedly knocked down would get old quickly. and it wouldnt be very realistic, any explosion close enough to knock you down flat, would wound you severely by either the concusion or the fragments. i think the bf2 blur is ok, but how they have it, is way-overdone imo. And it effects you from too far a distance, as someone already stated earlier in this thread. disorientation could be an idea? perhaps loss of control for a few seconds? with random actions, etc? perhaps you shoot your buddy, or run out into the open facing the mg's, or run in front of a rampaging tank, or just fall prone and cant move, freeze as is, etc. etc.
Jimbom Say Bourkey nice hat mate! Aussies ftw! :D:nodding:
I got it when serving 5 years in the AAC. I was promoted to Cadet Under Officer in Sydney and then served in the SCCU at Perth while I was travelling as the rank of Lieutenant. But that was only Army Cadets: training kids in bush survival/mapping/drill/shooting etc. I'm still considering to go for a commission in the Army Reserves but I'm busy at university and I don't want to sign my life away as yet
Nice! Though i wouldn't call joining the Reservse signing your life away..... its min 14 days a year. Personally i can't wait to be done with Yr 12 so i can sign up! Even if i do cop crap from my cousin whilst she outranks me .... Sides the pays pretty good for not doing a whole lot :D
BourkeyLol, the 'masked man fallacy', bit of irony with your aviator (i don't know if that was an intentional joke?).
I'm just an infantryman trying to avoid giving tanks and planes more power over us. Perhaps if you did this to the poor diggers in the mud, you could make tanks and planes stall after some hits?
Lol I didn't catch that one myself.
Certainly the devs will seek to balance any features or changes they make into a game. So if they liked this idea for example, I'm sure they'd make sure it wasn't overpowering or unbalanced to the best of there ability.;)
I like the idea about vehicles breaking down in the same way after being hit a few times. Would taking out tank's tracks be possible with this engine?
I know this was looked at, but with a quick search I couldn't find the thread. I think the conclusion to this was something along the lines that it would be too hard to code. I don't think engine stalling was looked at though, but it shouldn't serioulsy be looked at for planes as that would effect gameplay too much
