Yes, I think there should be a complete remake of Berlin, just like what they did to Stalingrad. CoD again, could be used as a source of inspiration...

One flag could be the nuclear weapons research center wich was the reason they wanted Berlin according to Antony Beevor..

..one of many but I would hardly deem it a good enough reason to make a spawn point.

BAMmeuwould like to see a whle new Berlin map with the Reichtag .. and i thin kong rudolf promised us that ;)

Well I currently have major problems with exporting and skinning. First of all I can't get my custom wreck buildings to collide (which material ID do I need?), and second, I have simply no frickin' clue how to skin. I tried to find some tutorials and found some menu options, but it is all way beyond my patience, the tutorials are 20 pages large, and the options, well, I just can't get anything out of them, except the usual lockups (argh, reboots, reboots).

I wil promise I will release a new Berlin map, if someone could only team up and skin them pieces for me. I can get custom objects ingame, add background sounds, make my own textures, all the mapping stuff, extracting, etc etc, but I can't get anywhere without properly working objects!

So if anyone can skin out there and is ready to team up with me contact me ASAP!

Personally, I tend to dislike infantry maps. I think most of the infantry maps, with a few exceptions, are WAY too small, and usually have flags far too close together, which leads to a "spawn, die, rinse, repeat" cycle that gets really old really fast. There often isn't enough space to make the map really interesting, tactically speaking.

Arnhem is one of the exceptions to this, as was, oddly enough, Wernheim. Wernheim had other big problems, but as far as map layout was concerned, it felt like the right size and the right type of capture points, with the right amount of space between them.

Many of the smaller infantry maps (Pavlov, Zielona Gora, Vanilla Stalingrad, Vanilla Berlin) are just tiny and/or boring. All they seem to be to me are frag fests a la Quake 3.

Oddly enough, I REALLY like Foy on either side of the map, and I've seen it won by both sides. I just love the atmosphere, and I think the layout is very well done.
