From anybody who plays Hearts Of Iron 2, you can develop and integrate brigades like AT, Engineering, Police, Heavy Tanks, etc.
Now what if, this was implemented into FH2? Additioning RTS elements thus making FH2 a hybrid.
My concept is the Captain of both sides has the ability to 'install' a equipment attachment to his squads individually and as a whole possibly.
For example we're playing a Kursk replica. The Germanic Captain can integrate the Armored Car brigade meaning at his main flag spawns a Puma or the Sdk vehicle. He can switch brigades every several minutes so choosing wisely is the best idea. This was the Company aspect.
The Squad aspect delves down into personell equipment. Like instead of having a Marder spawn at the main flag for a specific purpose or reason, the Squad has a AP attachment unlocking the limited, squad-only sniper kit. Squads introduce theirs as member only, its like if this area requires infantry support attache the Machinegun to the particular squad, than next spawn one of the members could choose the kit and reinforce his vicinity.
As for restrictions as previous said squad only, their is a limit to how many players could be in the particular squad. I cannot think of anything that should even allow 2 members to have grasp of but their is many possibilites to offer. Squad panzershrecker. PanzerGrenadier. Sniper, Machinegunner and maybe even Mortar for distance purposes.
The concept is introducing into the FH2 gameplay the ability to reinforce an area of your sides arsenal, flagzone. Although I had in mind not to have certain things available on many maps. However if the map is vehicle light, Pumas and Stuarts, halftracks or self-propelled guns is reasonable.
It would be pretty difficult to balance so until the Captain can redeploy another company or squad brigade his vehicles and classes have limited spawns?
Yes, HOI2 is a great game however, I don't know if such a system could be implemented, I hope so!
I can't understand half of what you said... You want the commander to be able to deploy vehicles? Don't know if that can be done.
As for the squad part, huh?
HOI2 is a very good game. I understand what you're saying and theoretically it would be a good idea, being able to somewhat decide what vehicles to spawn, but the question above all it, how the hell would you implement it?
HoI2 rocks. But brigades are already part of FH since they are part of the fighting force on the field. However, FH battles are not nearly involving as many man than a brigade had (a brigade might have 2000 soldiers)?. Attached brigades in HOI2 are actually additional brigades. A division is usually a couple of brigades together.
Can someone translate this into english? It sounds promising when I see those words I know on the teasing threshold of understandable order.

Simply put... He wants to take FH and make it into something completely diffrent game but with the Forgotten Hope name.
Or in other words the Commander becomes an RTS Commander and we are but his tiny expendable minons. Or to make FH into Battlezone, NS or any other of the RTS/FPS games.
I didn't make it!
that sounds realy stupid IMO. FH is good and FH2 will be good the way they are
Excuse me but Adder is incorrect almost completely.
The general concept is allowing commanders to install specialized equipment into his teams to help them in situations. The range is vast.
The Squad could have attached a member-only sniper kit at the spawn window but with limits or the entire company attached with highly mobilized equipment as in a Puma and Sdk.
Clan wise this could be very interesting.
Hearts of Iron II is probably one of the best strategy games of all time (maybe not as prestigious as the Civilization series, but pretty close). I play this game with a passion. Should any of you dare to challenge me in an online game, just remember, I don't call myself NuclearFieldMarshall for no reason. Adding brigade attachments is an idea that I'll support for any military game, simply because, it adds to the realism of the game. Therefore, adding it to FH2 is an idea that I'm all for.
