Hi, I was jsut wondering if you guys could put in the H.M.S. Indefagitable. It is a British carrier in WWII that my Grandpa served on. It saw no action but it did have planes, it did serve in WWII, and it did have plane losses, atleast crash landing plane losses. I could try and model it if you guys want (I model for Mech Warrior Mercs....an add on thing my League does) I have experience with Wings 3D and have gotten GMax and checked that out, however I am still new at that program but I will get better soon. Thanks

If you know how to model for BF then you should try doing it yourself as I'm sure the devs are busy with a lot of more urgent stuff right now, but if you do a good modelling/skinning job and donate it to FH I think they'd probably find a way to eventually use it in the game.

I have no idea, try searching the forums if nobody gives you an answer, or try checking the official site of FH, I'm almost sure they have a section there with links to all the necessary tools.

You can use a variety of 3D modeling programs, 3DSM (3D Studio max), Lightwave (which I use, but it's a school copy), Milkshake, Maya, etc, but most of them you have to buy or use other/questionable ;) methods. Some you can download for free (I think you can use a trial version of 3DSM for a month, but don't quote me on that, and I think Milkshake is free, although I haven't heard too many good things about it.)

Teaching yourself to model from scratch can be difficult, but it's not undoable if you really want to learn. You could go online and find some tutorials, or just use the help function that comes with the program. I wouldn't start with building an aircraft carrier as your first model, instead i'd start with some easy things to model and work my way up. Of course it's up to you if you really want to try.

Not sure, never heard of that program before. If you can make basic shapes like boxes and spheres and use basic tools/functions like extrude and bevel I don't see why not.

You would need to use a program that is compatible to 3D Studio Max to be able to import it into BF1942 game engine.

The Indefatigable was a Implacable class carrier which itself was a improvement on the Illustrious class carriers and resembled very closely.

I would love to see this ship in FH2, its probably too late to build, troubleshoot, skin and get in game for FH.

Now all we need is a Fairey Barracuda, a Grumman Gannet (TBF Avenger), and a Supermarine Seafire.

IIRC Illustrious and Implacable class carriers could not hold F4U Corsairs in the hangar deck because the folded wings hit the roof. Somebody got the clever idea to clip the wingtips enough that it cleared the roof. Then the Brits started carrying may Corsairs.

Would be cool to have a map representing the British Pacific fleet, even if it was stationary ships in FH2.

Never heard of it. Why should they insert such an unimportant ship ?
