Aequitas i like your idea (although simular suggestions have been made before). I don't really need to add anything, because you explained all your reasons and i agree with them! Tanks should burn for the rest of the game though (or explode after 10 minutes -which could be the end of a round-)
Thanks Donitz. I'm sure ideas like this have been floating around before, but for some reason it makes me think of this..
"Everything that can be invented has been invented." Charles H. Duell, U.S. Commissioner of Patents, in 1899.
hehe. What I mean is, we have to keep tossing up ideas, new or old. IMO this is why FH has made so much progress, is because the community has lots (LOTS) if input, and the fantastic team of devs will listen, comment, and often implement new ideas if enough people agree on it.
Besides, it's just interesting to hear what people think.
AequitasYea, that's true. But, then you would be completely without any indication if a tank is severely damaged or not.
It happened quite often during the war. They couldn't always tell right away if a tank was occupied or not, so they shot extra shells into them (just in case).
exww2 did a great job with this. also, the amount of time it takes for the turret to rotate when disabled should be damn near cut in half, to sim damage to the hydrolauics systems.

Who in their right mind is going to sit in a tank that's on FIRE? I'm not sure how fast the inf should lose health
Audie Murphy (most decorated soldier of ww2, maybe ever) got his MoH from manning an M2 on a burning M46 Jackson SPAT gun. Really cool.
