I'm wondering, surley they would have chosed something to actually camoflauge the planes and things. Dark green squares on a pale yellow sand stick out quite a bit. It could be historically right, I'm not sure. It just seemed odd. http://forgottenhope.bf1942files.com/news/December2004/Battle-Isle_Shot2.jpg The axis runway nets are more what I was talking about though.

Well if you're in a plane (this is in real life remember it may not apply to FH) and look down on a jungle island, it all blends in: that would just looks like a patch of grass or trees probably.

But not on the beach (couldn't find picture). The shapes are too uniform to look like grass. Unless it's some kind of weird beach lawn.
