I installed the board and everything else and the machine fired right up. I then configured the bios. I used the startup disk to format the HD and then went to windows setup. During the installation of windows I get the following message."Application Error" "SUWIN caused general protection fault" I've tried it at least 5 times with no luck? any Ideas? Thanks smile.gif Is it possible my windows CD is at fault?

I would check the chips cooling to make sure you have everything as it should be. Then I would adjust the core and I/O voltage to see if that helped. Then I would change either the motherboard or the chip to see if that solves it. wink.gif

Make sure everything is at default clock speeds. I was installing Linux 8 with my ram running around 150 and it gave an error. Run the clock, fsb and everything at default and see if that helps... biggrin.gif

I'm not familiar with that particular problem, but i had to remove my ide card to get windows installed, then I was able to install it. Even with an updated BIOS I had to remove it to reinstall.

Anyway, if there are cards you can remove, I would suggest that.

Thanks for the help guy's biggrin.gif

I got it figured out last night. I had to increase the Vcore by a jumper on the mobo in order to get my 1.33 266fsb to run at default. She's running great now biggrin.gif

BTW, no matter what I tried I couldn't get SBlive installed? Everything loaded great until Sblive then BSOD galore? AC97 Audio will do for now smile.gif

SBlive's suck IMHO. You can probably sell it for ~$50 and get a Philips Acoustic Edge or Turtle Beach Santa Cruz for about the same amount. They appear to be much better cards. Not being an audiophile, I was blown away by the difference in sound! Compatability is better among these other cards too.
