People were once considering if flanking and supression could be implimented in FH2 - I think it can with a simple addition. If the captain class had another 'weapon'; a hand. When you select this, the reticule changes to a cross hair at perfect precision. Right-clicking, signals a move order to the position of the reticule, a right-click signals an attack order at the point. Perhaps, just as firing at a specific spot causes dust to rise, blood to flow etc, a ring or something visible would appear @ the spot (not that it hurts any enemy unit in the area, but it helps other players to know 'precisely where'). Also the bots' AI could be coded to repsond to these commands as they would a command using the radio functions i.e. Attack or move to that position.... Perhaps, there could be visible action by the captain.. An open palm in the direction signalling a move order, a closed fist in the direction signalling a fire-order etc

It seems that most wont like stuff showing on the minimap or a HUD. But Im all for it. Only because it would be the easiest way of communicating to your squad. Even with voip it would be dificult. "Over there to the west, no your other west!!!".

Is it just me or does the title of this thread engender entirely impure thoughts?

Holding down T already allows you to place order markers on the move as a Squad Leader. I like BF2142's system (NOOOO etc) that automatically places a move, defend or attack marker depending on whether the flag is yours or the enemy's.

To be honest, I actually really like the idea of "hand commands" -- when you can't be arsed to type something, and don't want to use a macro for fear of someone hearing you.

Too bad BF2 has so goddamm many commands/kb shortcuts already, most of which are useless..

Meadow, can you get a screenshot of this map?
