SouljahSo in other words u dont like the way the flags are balanced in BF2 ? because that is pretty much what I tried to describe.
No, i don't like them (from FH perspective), cause just as you said, they are all equal distance apart. I am sure when people were building structures, they anticipated the war and put the strategic structures in a symetrical pattern close to each other . I like the Kubra Dam map flags, cause it's very difficult to get from, say, the north bridge flag, to the dam itself. The map feels like a battlefield: you can be infantry, and defend the dam, or you can be in a tank/apc and fight on the north side of the map, but you can't be in both places at once, or hop between the two places. As infantry at the dam, i am always weary of our tank's success at the north bridge area, cause if our tanks lose, the enemy tanks will make their way to the dam. Now that makes me feel like i am on the battlefield, occasionally ducking from the enemy planes/helicopters, that have their own battle to fight. But its frustrating on some FH maps (others are very well balanced) having to walk litterally 15min to a CF to then get killed by a sneaky bastard or get bombarded by a passing plane. The best solution is to stay and defend or wait for a transport to spawn/pass by. Who said that you should walk 15 mins? How about you setup the ambush for the other guy that spent his last 15 minutes walking to your flag? Seriously, if your flag is on the front line, there will be lost of them coming your way. If your flag is not on the front line.... then why did you spawn there anyways :D?btw have u read my sec. post above urs ?Yes, i just don't agree. I like BF2 maps, cause they fit into the BF2 gameplay. Had those same maps been used for FH, i would have hated them.
The walk just makes you want to get killed less.
Precisely! The fact that you can die from a single K98 shot after walking for 15 minutes makes you value your virtual life that much more! Makes you take cover, makes you hide rather then charge an enemy tank, makes you think before you act. That's what i love about FH and it's wide maps: carelessness gets you killed and punished.
Some flags have no value
