forgooten hope is a mod all about ww2 realism well japan is using a german viib lisensed sub. those subs where only given to japan after the german surrender . so just an idea give the japanese there (I) class sub just to had realism
If the devs haven't done it for .7, I doubt this is going to happen. BF2 has a total lack of naval combat, so it's going to be hard enough to make ships, let alone subs.
The only thing the Kriegsmarine will lack in FH2 is a destroyer and a U-boat.
USN and RN will take a beating but the RN will still have a Fleet carrier and a escort carrier. USN has PT's, LCM. and Liberty Ships. IJN will be wiped out except for the one tanker.
Thats alot of ships to do and Im not sure there is still anyone on FH team who is interested in designing new ships. I hope they find someone who will do new ships as I enjoyed some of those maps.
Me too. Ships give you the chance to fire the biggest guns in the game many times (8 380mm canons on Yamato) hehehehohohohahaha MUAHAHAHAHHAAH

380mm? i think is 9*460mm
LOL Even Better!
yea the bigger the better- and if they dont make new ships, make them atleast look better! They need far more details, like camonets, dirt on them etc And dont come with "that would make maps lag" cause these high detailed ship would only be in bigger numbers on "sea only" maps, where you dont have any other statics then the ships.
When we switch to BF2 and FH2 I would like to see a redo of the Midway map. Just no flags, respawnable ships, and carriers, BSs and tons of aircraft.
^ OMG would r0><>
In FH2 I dont want to see a Yamato class Battleship.
I want a Kongo class or a Nagato class. The Kongo class carried 8 x 353mm guns (14") and Nagato class carried 8 x 406mm guns (16"). These ships were the workhorse BB's of the IJN, the Yamato and Musashi never did much. Musashi was sank off Phillipines and Yamato was sunk at sea in 1945 by aircraft.
The IJN BB Kirishima was part of the Japanese force which engaged the US battleships South Dakota and Washington during the second Naval Battle off Guadalcanal, November 16, 1942. South Dakota suffered a power failure and was out of most of the fight and suffered damage and casulties.
Both US BB's were armed with 16" guns but the fighting was at night at close range so both sides guns had devestating affects.
