Hi all.

Well my suggestion is simple, having the Churchill as the Heavy tank for the Brits.

In Fh0.7, the Britsh had the Chuchill (Not sure wich Mk) on EL Alamein, so this is the right moment for ask.. it was used on El Alamein?.

I heard, they arrived on 1943, not sure what time, and one of these knoked out a tiger whit a very lucky shot on the Turret, Under the Cannon.

Oh yes, i checked Wiki now and it says it arrived on 1942, right on the Second Battle of El Alamein, but FH2 have the First Battle of El Alamen..

But what about having it on Mareth Line and Tunis? or any other Africa 1943 map?

Also i suggest the Bishop, but i have no idea about the Bishop..

Ok, what do you think? do you want the Churchill in Africa? and the Bishop?

Or you think its a waste of time, and the Devs dont wanna add anything to Mareth or Africa?

FH2 actually has the second battle of El Alamein (El Alamein and Supercharge), but at the moment we are only focusing on Normandy and not adding anything for Africa.

So, as for the Churchill and Bishop, maybe some time after Normandy.

I'm sure they'll add it in once they make it :P They'll need it for Normandy/Europe, so once it's modeled, all they need is a texture for africa then they put it in a map :P It's all a work in progress :)

edit : darn I got distracted and lightening beat me :

IMO the most appropriate version the devs could make would be the cast turreted Mk.IV, It was the most numerous version of the Churchill in Normandy: 21st Army Group Churchills, 21st of June '44. Mk.III - 150 Mk.IV - 242 Mk.IV OP - 24 Mk.V/VIII CS - 69 (the majority Mk.V) Mk.VI - 96 Mk.VII - 113 (including Crocodiles) ARV - 53 Bridgelayer - 6 Of the 364 6 pounder armed versions (Mk.III/IV/IV OP) issued to units (not including those in the Armoured Replacement Group) 264 were re-armed with the 75mm OQF (as armed the Cromwell Mk.IV), so the 6-pounder armed Mk.IV was still relatively common. The Mk.VI was vitually the same as the Mk.IV armed with the 75mm OQF except that it was built as such. Also the Mk.IV could be used to create two other variants, firstly the welded turret Mk.III, first used during the second battle of El Alamein, the only difference being the turret. Also the Mk.IV NA75, used in Italy, 150 Mk.III/IV were converted to mount the 75mm M3 salvaged from wrecked Shermans, the Mk.IV was the most commonly converted version out of the 150 completed.

IIRC there were only a handful of Churchills at El Alamein.

The Churchill was too slow and there was talk of pulling it from service.

Then the Brits ran into dug in Axis positions on top of hills in Tunisia and the only tank that could climb the hills was the Churchill. Suddenly the Churchill was invaluable and desperately needed.

Tunisian campaign saved the Churchill from being forgotten.

Churchill was used plenty in Sicily and Italy right? Somehow I just hope FH2 creates a Raid at Dieppe. Storm the German pillboxes with your Churchill, lads!

Beach assault, city battle, air battle, make it a push map and we have a great map.

No Churchills were used in Sicily. Churchills + shingle beaches = not a good time to be a tanker.
