Maybe, I'm too politically corect, but can the swearing in voice messages be toned down in FH2. Not done away with , but done realistically to convey the urgency of the message rather than simply show the speaker's penchant for cussing (Aussies, ofcourse). Besides, don't forget, jsut as you shouldn't make a sequel to a PG13 movie rated R, you should try to keep the Teen rating for BF and indeed, FH as a whole.

Frederf;3383811Am I the only one that think we may not want Rammel/ President Eisenhower/ Churchill ect be the voice for what is essentially a Company-sized group of players?

Yer, but the voice in question here is the commander. Who would most defintely not be in the heat of the action. So depending upon the map, we myt be able to squeeze in a few Ww2 celebs (Realism, being respected n all). But the one step backwards, would not neccesarily have been Stalin anyway, I'd bet Commisars really said it a number. I doubt I'd even recognize Joe Stalin's voice if he spoke anyways...

Apo-TTCC;3383820I meant that the english word 'over' is just not fitting in a german radio message in WW2. :uhm: Simple word by word translation does not work sometimes, 'rüber' fits only when getting over something. 'Climbing over a fence. > Über einen Zaun (rüber-) klettern.' In a german radio message the right term would be '... . Kommen.' at the end of a regular message you are awaiting an answer to and '... . Ende.' at the end of the last one you send. Cheers Apo

If you mean the voices you've heared on the "leaked" videos, they're only placeholders from vanilla Bf2. As for the commander voices, I tell you, Lobo would fit just fine, he knows how to encourage people.

Yep from the "leaked" video (http://www.gamingforums.com/showpost.php?p=3383642&postcount=13). I hope they are only placeholders, but the german voice commands heard in the clips are definitely custom because those were not in vanilla BF2 or the addons/boosterpacks.

Actually it was said, that they were taken from vanilla. If I remember correctly, POE2 uses the same voices

They are from Battlefield 2. EA is nice enough to make regional language versions for every country where they have established their publishing institutions instead of just handing licenses to some country level publishers.

OK, my bad. I got BF2 installed in english and forgot about that...so nevermind... ;)

The german vanilla BF2 voices sounded very amateurish to me in that video, so i thought they were custom made. I've never played BF2 with the localized german radio commands. Now i know that i did not miss a thing. ;)

Indeed, and no hard feelings for the use of bold in my previous post, but just too many people ask about it and I want to make sure it's clear.

I got absolutely no problem with that mate. Maybe it even was the lil' push that brought back the localized radio messages to my mind. :don:
