Vlad_shokocan't you do it like in OFP? (operation flashpoint) the gunner have a zoom in the gun and commander
No. Guess why? Cause it's BF42 not OFP
Thats a nice idea, Arisaka.
axkgkadragonteh.....the commanders cupola did not give you a 360 degree view like the stug does....infact 30% of the terran around you would have been blocked....in addition you could only see about 30 degrees up and down...
Unless you stuck your head out, which any good commander would do until bullets started pinging off the armor.
'[SYN hydraSlav']Not all vehicles have shift view. APCs dont (although they could realy use it). And open vehicles like Jeeps or M36 don't require a shift in order to mouselook.
I would say NO vehicles have or can have shift view except aircraft.
FrederfI would say NO vehicles have or can have shift view except aircraft.
would you like to elaborate on that?.....
Arisakawould you like to elaborate on that?.....
He is saying that currently there are no non-aircraft vehicles that have shift view. What i was saying is that you don't need the "shift" in order to achieve similar results. And what stops devs from coding shift into land vehicles?
And I say no non-aircraft have OR WILL EVER HAVE shift-view (officially known as Toggle Mouselook). Why? Because it is an AIRCRAFT control, there is no way in heck that a truck or a tank or an infantry can use this control. It is a physical limitation of the BF engine. It's like saying why don't we add pick-up-kit button to tanks? P.S. DICE please look up the meaning of the word 'toggle', holding down a key does not make it a toggle. A toggle key is pressed once for on and again for off.
sorry, frederf - i misread your first reply. well, why don't we make every vehicle a plane then :P
Arisakasorry, frederf - i misread your first reply. well, why don't we make every vehicle a plane then :P
Exactly what i am saying. There are amphibious vehicles that drive in sea and on land, and on land they are still classed as "ships". Why can't there be an "aircraft" that doesn't fly? Pinguins and ostriches are birds that don't fly :D
