Hey Everyone, Im downloading the Forgotten Hope mappack #3 as I type this. There is one map that looks very much like a pacific jungle. What Im trying to say really is, stop adding new tanks, guns etc for a while! just update a few maps and make your own versions of them! Oh and make the pacific maps look more pacific pleased.gif

Well should the modellers just go pick their noses or something? Besides the pacific maps with lots of vegetation or tunnel networks just don't work well in the current engine, they cause lots of lag especially on (slower) systems.

Wait until FH2... BF2 will use the BF-V Style undergrowth/overgrowth system - making much more realistic and aesthetically-pleasing jungle, while not causing as much lag. Can't wait to see some of the pacific maps redone...

The problem with this is that a 60 ton tank cannot drive over a broken down fence or a sapling. I am pretty sure this is still an issue in BF2. Until this is fixed, they need to keep the "overgrowth" to a minimum.

Battlefield 2 has far greater coding possibilities. If it weren't possible, it could be made possible, I'm pretty sure of that.

I think it might be possilbe for vehicles to knock over objects in BF2, noticed in one of the demo movies that the Humvee ran into a road sign and bent it over.

Yeah that sign went flying, and in a very realistic (physics-wise) way. So I'm hoping for some good things out of that engine.
