Any of you who has played Project Reality knows that the Constructables in that add a significant difference to the Gameplay. Perhaps this could be brought over to Forgotten Hope. I'm not certain on the details of how they do it, but I believe it would add to the interest of the game. Instead of having to rely on set defenses, set up your own. Comments?

This would give the commander something more to do, but I don't think that it would work with FH2, the mappers put in so much hard work and research to make historically correct maps and atm I think ctz's coding skills are needed elsewhere.

I always thought it would be cool if a certain soldier class would get an entrenching tool and be able to "dig" at least a dirt mound to hide behind and simulate a foxhole.

I don't like the idea of commander deployed defenses though... it works in PR but FH2 is not PR at all.

Yeah, I like the idea of deployable defenses for certain classes. Maybe one class can dig a small foxhole (as described above) and then have a class that can build sandbag walls. Maybe the best would be a limited class of engineers so that you don't end up with bad lag from 64 players building foxholes and sandbag walls. lol

Wierd Lobo, but anyway, it doesn't have to be specific classes and it doesn't have to be instant. Give Project Reality a try and you'll see how it is there. Thats the sort of concept I'm talking about. And on the issue of historical accuracy, don't tell me that soldiers didn't sandbag in and dig in for an attack where ever they were. Sandbag positions and barbwire were a necessity for moving up a line.

Only problem would be having to make maps specifically for things like this. It could be abused (not being able to destroy wire, etc) and would cause for difficulties :O
