I would like to have the Bombers (only the big ones) having a pilote that cant do anything else except flying the bomber. Then the Copilote that can drop the bombs. And now there is my suggestion. You want to have realism but the B-17 isn't realistic at all.... You can use it only if you get near the ground that you can hit your targets. But as all of you know the bombers were flying very very high. Expecially the B-17. The Copilote (bomber) should look down to the ground and have something like a scope. with a Crosshair that is correct enough that it moves with the plane (hard to explain for :( ) that you are able to hit your targets if they dont move and the plane doesn't move fast with a accuracity of 90% or so... So if you fly very high the copilote should be able to zoom down and drop the bombs over his targets. That would be very very very cool !!!! So the flak isn't able to shot the bomber down before he could drop his payload and the enemy planes need to hunt them harder :naughty: x) I hope you understood the text i wrote >.

There is something like this in FH already, I think it has something to do with a certain special pickup kit but I'm not all sure. It should be easy to code the co-pilot seat you suggested, and it'll add a new teamwork dimension to the game.
Here's another idea. Is it possible to code so that a heavy/medium bomber can only drop it's bombs from a certain hight? It'll stop the noob pilots from flying ten feet off the ground and blowing themselves up, and the rest of the crew. It's just not realistic when you see a B-17 fly into a house any more.

Maybe Hartmann could somehow code it that you have a much higher viewdistance while looking through the bomb-shaft.
That way you can make out taregts even if they can´t see you. It also should affect the performance that much sinse you view would be rather restricted through the scope.

That would be also a good idea Dee jay. But if you just can see very far i dont think that many will fly of that case higher because it's very hard to hit something from that high... I would prefer the Scope idea with a crosshair for the bombs. And ResidentEvil Fan lol it sucks really if you get in a bomber filled with 8 soldiers and then a dumb noob flies about 10 feet over the ground and crush in the tank he wanted to blow up LOL If it's able to code it would be awesome :D

I think it would be cool if heavy bombers just circle the map and you can spawn in them in the air (like in Wake and Tarawa). And they could code it so that you can't fly lower or higher, like the Airstrike kit planes. That way you spawn high up in a bomber and you can't go lower and crash into a tree or what ever. The problem would be realoading wich i have no clue how to solve... Maby a flying ammobox? :lol:

and shrink the b-17 mini map icon this is ludicrously large makeing the false appearance that it dwarfs the ju88 and other bombers when in reality they are the realitivly the same size and for the flying ammo box just have the UFOs take care of that
The B-17 icon should stay that big just make the other big bombers big too. So you know if you can call heavy air support....
And i agree with pastyface with the flying ammo boxes "...just have the UFOs take care of that" LOL

Yes that would be even better. A bomber modeled like the one from Call of Duty United Offense. Then the bomber is in the middle dropping the bombs with having a zoom function to the ground. How does that sound ?
