This is a pretty basic suggestion, and I don't think it's being included yet, so here we go:
I know we'll be able to crouch when sitting in the MG spot on a tank, right? Is it possible for people who are using a PAK for example to do the same? I was playing FH1 and I noticed that whenever I used one, the only way to protect myself would be to get out and crouch and wait for it to reload.
Reload? The PAKs reload pretty fast.
Still, the problem is you didn't man a Pak with your chest and face sitting halfway above the metal shield. I agree, this should be fixed. No part of the gunner's body should be exposed to the front, unless you got a VERY lucky shot through the aiming port.
Very good point, a feature I would hope to see in FH2. Sucks having your head sticking above the defensive shield.
One thing, but I doubt that you would be sitting down while firing a PaK 40, as the shell ejection would 'impale' you.

The spent shell is ejected when the breach is manually opened by the operator is it not? The main reason for standing back from the cannon when firing is the recoil from the barrel. Thats the way I see it.
Ok, actually, the shell auto ejects, Pak guns were semi-auto, in that when it recoiled, it would reject the shell and cock the firing pin automatically, I have had practise before with the mechanism. However, why would it impale you, you sit to the sides of the recoil device, not behind it. The point still stands, your body should not be exposed while manning the Pak guns, or any other at guns for that matter, when seen from the front.
Unless they turn off outside view, crouch should do the opposite and raise your head so you can get a better view :D
Being able to duck down behind the shield of certain artillery or anti-tank guns would be pretty neat, although you should have a extreme limited view/movement for balancing purposes.

NIebler's saying when you press crouch button, its reversed, and you actually raise your head above the armor plate. THat I can see working. Maybe be able to use binocs in a secondary position to scan for vehicles, using the same system?
