Consider this a friendly reminder...

Maps such as Desert Rose suffered heavily because of the massive German superiority in terms of armor, Tigers against Crusader Is and Matilda IIs is not an acceptable matchup. So my request is a simple one really, include the Crusader Mk. III for FH2. For those who aren't sure what it is, the Mk. III is a Crusader Mk. II armed with a OFQ 6 pounder (same gun as on the Cromwell) and with, if I recall correctly, slightly more armor than previous Crusader models. This added punch would give the British the firepower necessary to remain on even terms with the Germans in the late African campaign.

Good. We should add this to the unofficial list of stuff in FH2.

Would be nice if the Germans got the Panzer IIIG/H, that would even it up on the earlier maps. As for the Crusader Mk.III, i hope we don't see too many Mark III's on the appropriate maps, i think there should be about 1 for every 5 Crusaders, the remainder being I's and II's. That if there are that many on one map.

The Germans have the IIIJ, both the special and the regular. In some maps you had 1941 Cruasders facing off against 1943 Tigers. Tough luck if you have to face a relativly fast, poorly armored but well armed tank.

Did the heavier armour and gun make the mkIII slower then the mk I?

Crusader MkI was first used during operation battleaxe in June 1941. The Crusader MkIII was first used at the second battle of El Alamein, in October 1942. This is quite late in the desert war and by now the Crusaders seemed just way too light and too poorly armoured, compared to the M4A1 Sherman and M3 Grant.

Desert Rose has a really, really weird layout. The British seem to be armed with mid 1941 equipment, while the Germans get Tigers and Panzer 3 N's. Any map featuring Tigers should have Shermans as the main allied tank, however Desert Rose doesn't have any shermans.

According to OnWar.com both the Crusader MkI and MkIII had a topspeed of 43 (on road), with the MkI weighing 19 tons and the MkIII 20 tons.

Not enough to make any sort of major difference. Trust me, you want this cannon on your Crusader. It is actually better at defeating armor than the M3 75mm on the Sherman Mk. I.

Still haven't really figured out why the Churchill IV does so well against the Tiger and Panther. This wasn't the VII, it's armor wasnt 150mm thick. The KwK 36 and KwK 42 souldn't have all that hard of a time penetrating the frontal hull armor.
