Read it and weep people.

We are the D-Day Dodgers, way out in Italy Always on the vino, always on the spree Eighth Army skivers and their tanks We live in Rome among the Yanks We are the D-Day Dodgers, in sunny Italy We landed at Salerno, a holiday with pay The Jerries brought the bands out, to greet us on the way Showed us the sights and gave us tea We all sang songs, the beer was free The drunken D-Day Dodgers, in sunny Italy

Palermo and Cassino were taken in our stride We didn't go to fight there, we just went for the ride Anzio and Sangro were the same We only went to look for dames The randy D-Day Dodgers, in sunny Italy

On our way to Florence, we had a lovely time Ran a bus from Rimini, right through the Gothic Line Then to Bologna we did go After that we crossed the Po We are the D-Day Dodgers, in sunny Italy

Once we heard a rumour that we were going home Back to dear old Blighty, never more to Rome Then someone said "In France you'll fight" We said "No fear, we'll just sit tight" The windy D-Day Dodgers, in sunny Italy

We hope the Second Army soon gets home on leave After six months service, it's time for their reprieve But we can carry on out here Another two or three more years Contented D-Day Dodgers, in sunny Italy

Dear Lady Astor, you think you know a lot Standing on your platform and talking tommy rot You England's sweetheart and it's pride We think your mouths too fucking wide Thats from your D-Day Dodgers, in sunny Italy

Slowly Look around the mountians, in the mud and rain You'll find the scattered crosses, there's some which have no name Heartbreak and toil and suffering gone The boys beneath them slumber on They are the D-Day Dodgers, who'll stay in Italy

With this i would like to hear by start a thread campaigning for maps based on the Italian theater of war.

The Italians are coming in .7 or so. There isn't much point in making maps for them before they are themselves included.

I was talking mainly about the German vs Allies maps, but would also like to see the italians in game.

The Eyes are coming in .7, last I heard. And with them tons of new maps with the opportunity for even more. I can't wait to be flying above Malta chasing down Italian bombers in my Gladiaor and Hurricane Mk.1!

Have no fear, ladies and gents, just give it time. In another year or so .7 will be released. Personally, I think .7 should be all about Italy, the East, the south Pacific, and Africa. Ok, ok, everything but Western Europe.

Considering it is an entire, major theater of operations, I'm even more excited for .7 than I was for .6! Italy opens up so many possibilities is unbelievable.

Montoya, you better be a model and skin making machine. No food, no drink, no sleep, no masterbating, just model making damnit!

Well we have a few maps in the African theatre which the Italian forces took part in, so there's half the battle fought already. Am I right in saying Tobruk and partly El Alamein was fought by the Italians?

If we see maps as good or better than DiCE's Monte Cassino and Baytown, then I'll be happy.
