Do the undersides of tanks have damage characteristics? I'm asking because it would be nice to be able to destroy tanks that expose their underside when they're coming over a hill (yes, just like in BoB). Thanks.
yeap. just camp a bridge on Breakthrough with your panzerfaust :D
Yeah, I think all tanks break down from one shot in the bottom.
Woohoo! Breakage! How thick was armour on bottom of tanks? Only a few mms?
IIRC from 15-25mm.
Anlushac knows.
Anlushac knows all. Hail thee Thane of Knowledge.
lol, but yah, the armor on the bottom should be a hell a alot thinner. Also, didnt the germans in the hedgerows wait untill the Shermans were at the top of their climb before Fausting them?
PzIII - 12-16mm PzIV - early models 5mm, late models 10mm PzV Panther - 16-30mm PzVI Tiger ausf E - 25mm PzVI Tiger II ausf B - 25-40mm M4A3 Sherman - 12-25mm M10 Wolverine - 6mm BT-7 - 6-10mm T-34/76 - 15-20mm T-34/85 - 20-22mm KV-1 - 30-40mm IS-2 - 20-30mm
And belly shots dont always kill in FH. I was behind a hill in a T-34/76 and shot a tiger in the belly and it didnt even get it smoking. I was promptly killed when the Tigers barrel came down.

didnt pilots find that if they shot in front of the tanks that the bullets would go under and pierce the bottom? or something that that effect? also reminds me of how you can one shot a KT with a 76, just ram the KT in the front with the 76 and when he pops up shoot his belly

there are TONS of stories like that and none have been proven to be true.
also 40mm of armor on the bottom of a tiger just seems like a waste to me
