I think flying should be more dangerous at FH2. What I mean is that, when you´re inside a cockpit or at a defensive MG position,in most of the time, you´re safe. My idea is to make the bullets pierce the glass of the cockpits or of the gunners position(like the tail gun of the Wellington) and hit the pilot, killing him(or you,anyway...). I say this cause I was playing at a server yesterday, and I was at the tail gun of the Wellington, and a Bf109 come and I start shooting at him. But the pilot stay in one piece while the plane start having damage. I know that glasses were special, but, maybe ater some hits, that glass couldn´t take it anymore. And this should apply to all fighters,at the cockpit glass and to the bombers at all gunner and till pilot position. Oh,and don´t forget the back gunner of the 2 seated planes. Look at CFS3 or other realistic fighter simulator and see. And FH2 should have a bomber sight. Bombing isn´t very accurate, since you bomb using your intuition. All bombers and I guess the Stukas and Vals had one. And to use it,you just change the camera pressing "C".
Bomber sight idea is neat. 0.7 already had something like this with the...whatever it's called plane. So yeah.
As for the damage idea, this forum's been over than one over and over again.

I thought fighters especially had bullet-proof windscreens? The purpose of these would have been to stop bullets, hence being called bullet proof. ;) I'm not sure about the rest of the canopy or any defensive turrets though.
I've been killed while in a plane before, so I would think that bullets go through.

The Macchi? It is the only plane where you can shoot through the cockpit.
Probably, but I'm pretty sure I've been shot out of a 109 before.
I like the sights idea--the Kate ones are a bit, eh...but the TBD sights rock.
And yes, within reason, aircrew should be vulnerable. Remember that planes also had loads of armor, instrumentation, engine bits, struts, and other garbage inside which could stop small arms fire. So it shouldn't just be a case of "oh yeah, I shot the cockpit and the guy died."
I shot a dude out of a Hurricane once with an MG34.
You haven´t understood the bomber view. I mean the sight for BOMBING. That one that you can see the ground, know? But if you need a screenshot to know what I mean...
Like with the airstrike kits.
