The supply trucks should be able to drop off ammunition just like they were able to in FH1, on levels like El Alamein and Aberdeen the supply trucks are crucial but each team is only given 1 truck at a time and they are only able to supply in 1 location at a time, so would it be possible to make the ammo trucks drop ammo boxes, much like they were able to in FH1? And is it also possible to increase the life, time of the commander supply box? it lasts about 2 minutes now, should be increased by another minute or two.

Agree.

The FH1 trucks that were able to drop off 2-3 boxes were about right. Right now if you want to get your friend some more ammo on a static AT gun or something you have to:

1. Scour the map for an ammo kit. Never seen one myself and I've been looking. 2. Get the one ammo truck safely from main to the place. Takes several minutes round trip. 3. Try to get the SL to request a supply drop and have the commander cooperate enough to have a chance at landing the air drop on the position.

I'm pretty much a Herculean teamplayer, traveling across the map and back just to do this or that, but even I think it requires too much effort to do this rather mundane resupply task.

It should be hard enough that it's not trivial to resupply an out-of-ammo whatever, but easy enough that it's worth the effort.

Maybe put an ammo resupply kit at almost every flag (at least those with things that tend to run out of ammo). The kit could drop a bag that only resupplied most guns with a few shells, enough to get them going again. The ammo kit guy could run back and forth from the ammo box to the gun a dozen times to fill the ammo up all the way. On the other hand the ammo truck should be able to "properly" fill them up in one go.

I know FH devs think "Geeze, that makes it too easy to re-ammo these guns." But it really takes a lot of work even if the ammo kit and box (which should be side by side) are only 40m away.

Hmm, you know what maybe that is the solution, if the ammo kits are capable of refilling vehicles, then just adding an extra 2 of those on El Al and Aberdeen would change a lot, I dont quite know if the supply kits are even capable of refilling vehicles and AT guns. That would be awesome, 1 player is given an ammo truck to make rounds in, and 2 players can just use light recon vehicles to manually take ammo kits to friendly vehicles, that would be very useful. That way you will have up to 4 guys working logistics (1 ammo truck, 2 ammo kits, and the commander supply)

This is a good idea.

I'd also like it that artillery could request ammo easier, just like tanks can request repairs and the minimap icon lights up. Artillery should have radios anyway, they need to get the spot coordinates somehow.

While I'm throwing ideas, an extra ammo box drop for commander? It wouldn't repair anything, just supply ammo.

The drop vehicle button is still there but not in use, any ideas about a new function for that? Would it be possible to change it to another sort of barrage? perhaps smoke? or a b-52/stuka carpet bombing ala FH1? that would be awesome since i doubt they are going to have the airstike kits like they did in FH1, a straight 8-10 bombing line where the commander calls it in would be pretty awesome, a long cooldown of course. lastly, is someone working on the 3rd zoom-in on the commander map? cant the camera zoom in on the terrain all the way but hide the character models? i assume no since the option was to just grey it out entirely.

the supply kits are rather new in the 2.10 version, and they cant be found on all maps yet, and i believe they are still some WIP, but they work fine. You get your basic rifle, a knife, a wrench, a smoke grenade, 1 bandage and 2 supply boxes (can be reloaded at ammo dumps). those boxes refill the ammo of vehicles and statics only , no infantry ammo for you here. The amount of refilled ammo varies on gun caliber i guess, smaller guns get more ammo lager get less.

These kits however lack some proper introduction and i dont have a screenshot handy, maybe someone else can add one later.

I also think it is worked on ammo drops via ammo truck, but i have no idea how that is going and if it is possible.

Dropping supplies (for vehicles, including guns) - yea.

Longer life of commander supply crates - nay, as that will further discourage team play - damaged tanks should withdraw for repairs, not sit in place and get automagically regenerated - especially since the crates seem to be immune to AP projectiles. Of course, if there would a crate that only drops ammo, as you said, that's another story...

the repair speed of the supply drops has been vastly decreased in 2.10 if takes ages to get a tank repaired with this, and with ages i mean several minutes. so their repair ability is close to nothing.
