i was wondering if it was possible to make some (if not all) buildings destroyable by tanks, arty and things. or atlest make it so the buildings have health and when it drops to a point walls and things inside fall apart/ catch on fire.

I think this has been discussed many times before, and yes, it is possible to code some destructible buildings and or objects (ie. bridges, which can already be blown up in vanilla BF2). Question is, will the devs incorporate some destructible buildings into 'regular' maps or just objective based scenarios? I'm guessing the latter.

well i couldnt find anything that has discussed this (sorry if there is). i think it should be in everyday regular maps. and the building dont even have to be totally destructible (to the point where they disaper and stuff). and i would really like seeing fires pop up inside the buildings too when they take damages.

Have to remember that some of what your asking might simply be impossible for the BF2 engine (i'm no coder but having random fires pop up in buildings seems like a stretch :p ). Also, too many destructible buildings may cause some lag issues. Although maybe one or two, or maybe even specific destructible areas of buildings (ie. the top of a church tower or something like that) would be nice to see on a map.

well i know that in FH the cars and stuff have engine fires when it got to a point so it cant be too impossible.

Yeah in Vanila BF2 wrecked cars have flames too.

Yes, it's possible to make these and I expect a lot of these - main problem is possible lag caused by these objects, so I guess that will decide the amount of destroyable objects in maps.

Hopfully we'll see these as much as possible.

PRM has a couple of houses that will cave in if shot by rockets or tank shells/bombs, so it's fully possible.

Yeah, PR has proven it possible. If they do decide to do it, it may not be on city maps. That would cause massive lag.

I don't want to see this. On prolonged maps, and anything with a heavy or medium bomber, there won't be anything left. Since tanks respawn infinitely, and bombers can reload bombs in seconds, entire maps could be flattened. It's like Berlin Streets all over again...
